Sorry to disagree with your diagnosis but turning left loads up the RH bearing and will identify this as the faulty one if noisy, vice versa for the LH bearing (turn right to load up LH bearing).

My right bearing was bad and got significantly louder when turning right, and got quieter when turning left. Replaced the left (driver's side) bearing first thinking that was where the problem was....and where I would have sworn the noise was coming from while driving. The noise persisted unchanged until I replaced the right (passenger's side) bearing.

Wouldnt it be easier just to buy a new wheel hub assembly that has the bearing in hub such as a moog??? EDIT: apparently, part, that's only for the chevy crude

An adjustable wrench is to be used only one way. Putting that bearing in he was using it backwards. Good way to break your wrench.

I don’t understand the tightening the ball joint clamp then something about 180 degrees. Can you please explain I’m about to do mine tonight.

Tightening to 180 introduces stretch on the fastener and puts the metal into the elastic loading region where it would recover from additional stresses.

Thats a new torq thing w torq to yield bolts etc....to prevent over tightening and make people buy more maintenance gear.....money in service parts industry. By design to make them money...not help the customer. Cars trucks worked fine 100yrs now torq ft lbs. nm degrees.....its not a race car.

Squeak is usually a bushing or brakes. Bearings grind and rumble when bad. Or vibrate

  • @IFoundMyBrand

@@Dassick89 The weird part is it only squeaks when my foot’s not on the brake.. which makes me think it’s something with the brakes but what..? Any ideas? It squeaks as the wheel is spinning but if I’m using the brakes it doesn’t squeak at all.
