Lifelong jazz junkie here...blowing my mind at 58 with dogs on the porch. Huzzah!
studio trieste is a treasure this is pure immortal transcendence jazz music one of my favourite all time record
so many sides to chet, no matter what I listen to I end up crying
Laws one of the finest flautists ever whose roots were classical combine with Hall's tasteful accompaniment bring out the best of Chet baker; what a blessing .
Brazil is still in awe of Chet Baker 40 years after he's been here. Simply Magical.

It's this the same chet that was famous for singing funny Valentine? I never heard these recording of him. I have a hard time believing it's real. Sounds like a big group, but the title says a trio. This isn't chet baker

Just brilliant!
Finally! I had this album when it first came out and then lost it in a move (or loaned it out and never got it back--long long ago). I have tried for years to remember the name. LOVE this work! Great musicians. Great arrangements. This is truly one of the great albums of the 80s! Thanks.

I lent out my Yusef Lateef album to a black friend of mine whom I told directly that I wanted it back after 4 weeks. I was disrespected. The album had a very large portrait of Yusef- took up the whole front cover. On the album was my favorite; “A Long Time Ago” a woman singing a cappella. And a lydian riff … “Lowland Lullaby” I cannot filter up the album title. Anyone who can help ?
The name of this album says it all. Superb stuff!
