I came here in December 2023 for the first time, impressive, to say the least looking to come back this summer for a week or so

Favourite part of the town to visit, especially Vicar Lane. Always worth the 55 minutes cycle from where I live in Sheffield even if I send up sitting in Costa most of the afternoon. Nice also to see bagpiping alive and well here.

The number of greggs and McDonald's in Chesterfield it's not surprising lol 😂

This looks just like a normal market day. When I lived there, stall holders used to dress up for the medieval market day. There used to be some really good costumes. Can they not be bothered these days?

It's the first time I've been for years I was disappointed. no fancy dress, no street artist and less stalls than usual how the times have changed 😢

It's a ghost town compared to 20 yrs ago, Chesterfield has been destroyed by corrupt and incompetent council's, I'm sure the Chesterfield MP will have played his part, well done!

It's a ghost town compared to the victorian times. Streets were a lot more busy.
