Great show, I was there visiting from Canada and spending time with family.

What an excellent video, the sound of the Fowler ploughing gears is musical, my Grandfather was a model engineer and he loved using coal fired boilers for his ships and would have his grandsons breaking the coal into small pieces to get into the firebox, he had us making wooden whistles on his treadle lathe at the age of 5/6 years old, he would treadle and under instruction we would make the whistles, my brother and I both became engineers and both have our own workshops with lathes and mills etc, we dont build model steam, I restore stationary engines and my brother restores anything of interest.

There are no better days than a steam rally. Lovely machines cared for by lovely people, salt of the earth. Thanks John for a great film.

What's the price of coal these days , is it still easy to get now there trying to ban it ? Still got seven sack fulls stashed in my green house for my stove .
