Correct although I think I have seen room service employees place food trays down onto it but then you take stuff of the tray and sit on the bed or chairs etc.

everything about chessington is gorgeous!

we stayed at Animal kingdom lodge. we got a good deal on a villa suite from DVC member who couldn't use their slot, it had a double balcony over looking the savanna and you get night vision Goggles on a savanna tour and you get amazing views of what the animals do at night. I recommend you looking for a room for a couple of nights or even just one night would be amazing. keep up the good work Shaun.

We do have a good laugh!

Never been to any other Merlin Hotels, just Alton Towers, and it does look amazing to stay over night(s) at Chessington World of Adventures Resort. But poor Charlotte, that poor girl this year has been thrown off the same ride .... twice... (Stafford Common and Stoke on Trent) a few months back and nearly been bitten by a goat. Bless her. Thanks for making a great and interesting video of this hotel.

We definitely recommend it

Me and my parents stayed there for my 16th. We were on the top floor with a view of the animals. I must say, one of the best birthdays I have ever had.

I stayed in one of the zebra rooms. It had a zebra striped throw and cushion. Lovely size. Definetly a+ plus for a themed bedroom! I recommend trying to get one of those rooms next time :)

My first comment although been watching your videos for a couple months. Love your attitude and watching your adventures with Charlotte and your friends. Loved the hotel tour, and really hope you and Charlotte get to stay at animal kingdom lodge. My wife and I had a savanna view a couple years ago, sitting on the balcony in the morning was truly amazing, and I know Charlotte would love it. Interesting look and great for Chessington. Sometimes Merlin cheap out on the theming but Merlin always create a cracking carpet in their hotels.

13:08 I can confirm it is for luggage not for meals but you do what you want and if you want a meal there have a meal

Extremely useful video to get a flavour of the hotel just here. Seriously useful if you've got an upcoming trip. Just need a bit of nice weather! Mirror just there.

Not at all!

We stayed in the Azteca earlier this year. If you have kids the rooms are more interesting as there are separate kids and adults spaces within the rooms, divided by the bathroom. There’s also some fantastic theming in the rooms! We also had a savannah view so it was best of both worlds.

13:00 - You're both right. It can be used for luggage or even to place room service trays when you want them out of the way of the desk area ;) I wouldn't recommend trying to sit on one though...I learnt that the hard way! XD

Great vlog I love this hotel so much. Definitely agree when Charlotte said about it being magical and you don’t fell like you are in the UK. When we stayed there two years ago they had the ‘Rangers club’ in the evening which was a bit of entertainment, mainly for children, but they had games and party dances and such. I agree though a band or singer would be amazing. We also loved the savanna splash pool didn’t know you have to pay for it now though! Looks like you had a great time. ☺️

Just stayed at this hotel last night, 21/8. We went for one day in the park, and managed to get a good deal on the Merlin holiday club site, so decided to stay the night, got a really good room which looked out over all the animals, my little one loves animals so Chessington is really good for her. Fantastic hotel. Well worth a stay

I've stayed in the rooms that look over the zoo area and didn't see a THING, although they were doing construction work outside for the building of the azteca hotel, but didn't enjoy the sound of pneumatic machinery being operated at six in the morning. 😃

Been a fan for years, Shawn, you help me and my partner decide where to go etc. BUT this video HAS to get an exception... it's just gone 6am, we are STILL awake even though our munchkins will wake up soon. The rack is for luggage. I picked up an old one from Coronado Springs Resort when I worked for Disney and use it for when I have guests.

That little rack is a luggage rack. But you can also put a towel on it and put your bathing suits on it to help them dry

Definitely not you can get a premier inn room for £30 so you can going for 15 nights or 1 night lol (obviously no ones going for 15 nights but you get what I mean)

Good to hear they do boiled eggs…..I had an awful time trying to get a boiled egg in the big blue Blackpool a few weeks back, we were there for five mornings the first two wasn’t a problem, then the last couple of mornings I was told by the lady who had just come back from having four days off that they don’t do boiled eggs, I said what did I eat then for the past two days, well she said we are not supposed to…..the conversation went on, I got them in the end but what a palaver….was so surprised. Xxx

@@ThemeParkWorldwide it’s not the biggest problem in the world, I didn’t mean to sound like an entitled brat lol, was just commenting on how surprised I was at a hotel like the big blue making a fuss over a boiled egg, I can’t eat certain things, as I’ve got gallstones, and did tell the staff at breakfast, who were lovely, the first few days, but like I said the last couple of mornings was like I was asking for something impossible 😆xxx
