I love the long running joke about not getting a body mod video, I forget how many years it's been since the OG video but it's great to see its still in the lore

Corvus beaking the chessboard is the kind of quality check that should be the standard.

I really like when you play Corvus, his character has always been the most soothing and genuinely enjoyable like an old friend in every multiverse :)

Being great at chess has nothing to do with being a tactical genius. Many great chess players have stated that you don’t have to be smart to be one of the worlds best it just comes naturally to some people. Magnus Carlson the worlds best chess player is average in iq and problem solving situations

His last name is Carlsen, not Carlson. What is the source of your claim about his IQ and problem solving skills? Also, you may watch him here on KZread, as he plays three simultaneous games blindfolded, if you have any doubt about the brilliancy of his mind.

​@@goodish9765 In fact ☝️🤓 he has never taken an IQ test (said by himself in interviews) 'cause he thinks it's pointless, and, even though it's true, being good at chess doesn't mean you're smart, chess is all based on pattern recognition and memory, two very important skills that are definitely important when measuring intelligence

Seeing Dr. Corvus again truly is something to be grateful of! I must say, he has great eyes!

Note : En passant is only available after the opposite pawn advances 2 squares (from origin 2 squares first move) to be adjacent to your pawn. in this case you can capture it diagonally while advancing 1 square. Example: white pawn from d4 to d5, black pawn to e5, white pawn takes e6.

I’ve been watching for 4-5 years and have severe insomnia. Sometimes I won’t sleep for 2-3 days but you seem to do the trick and ease my body into relaxation. Thank you uncle e 👍

The different masks we see probably mean we are with a different universe's Corvus. The white mask, black mask, and leather mask, and other masks that I've probably forgotten about. Some you can see the eyes but others you cannot.

CORVUS IS BACK YET AGAIN OUR FAVOURITETIST RIFT TRAVELING DOCTOR

A cool move would be allowing the King to move anywhere within 2 tiles of its current position. This would effectively create a 5x5 square surrounding the King in which the piece may move freely. You could possibly allow this only when your King reaches the opposing edge of tiles, upgrading it like you would a pawn, in order to keep the game balanced. I've always thought it was weird that the King can only move 1 tile away. You might have to adjust the way this mechanic would interact with Check/Checkmate so the game is still winnable though.

Coming into 2024, I thought that we wouldn't see many og-style videos with the sanitarium characters, but I gladly stand corrected so far!

Signs of a good character include not being able to match character to creator. Corvus is an excellent example of this and a rarity in the ASMR community, well done!

Took me about three years of watching ER to figure out Corvus is the family of birds crows and ravens are in.

Good video! I noticed that there was a correction for the En Passant move in the description of the video, but in case you are still confused, the easiest way I have had it explained to me, is that if your pawn is on the opponents 4th rank (Row that pawns would move 2 squares to if they chose to) and your opponent moves 2 squares next to your pawn, you can take it as if it only moved one square.

I find it interesting that this is the 5th building, floor etc. and the transition from introduction to board layout is at 5:55

Wait, I’ve just realised there’s lore to this channel. It’s all connected. In the last video. (The doctor one) he mentions a building called the sanatorium, in the busy bored video the lady is also in the sanatorium. In the doctor video he says he switches brains with this guy that’s playing chess with us and the busy bored girl. There’s so much more lore but I would be typing for hours if I explained it all lol.
