@@Moon_Light2008 You'd need to be very careful and white would probably have the ability to always win (if played perfectly) since you can start capturing a piece and forcing a trade from turn 1. But you can probably still be tricksy and manage just _one_ turn in the carnage where you can't get hit and thus winning Rough if you gotta checkmate a queen-moving king though!

@@metallsnubben I know but I just lik chaos plus not every move has to be a trade and I don't play with very good chess players who also don't use strategy and imagen house rules but If you take a piece you get slapped with a fish (queen only edition) you know to stop the constant trading no other reason

I love that teri is a major character in this series even when not strictly necessary to the gameplay.

Sully actually has a strategy early on expanding his reach slowly while Adam just moves erratically

"My Leige? Did you marry a horse?" It's Glitterhoof! the best Chancellor of the realm.

Adam with his natural hair colour feels like such a blast from the past. Now we just need the ding whenever he does something for the true What Culture experience. Also this House Rules is an absolute gold mine as ever.

Well it took 8 and half minutes for the first move to happen

6:12 Teri just realized that she is about to sit through Adam and Sullivan constantly making horse puns for over half an hour

All the king's horses, And all the king's men, couldn't put Adam's winstreak together again.

I think I can safely speak on behalf of the entire comments section when I say that episode was a triumph for Teri.

This episode must’ve been a nightMare to record. Jokes aside, Thank you, everyone on the NRB team, for consistently giving us such great content! I found this channel a few months ago and it has skyrocketed all the way to one of my all time favorites. Thank you all so much for all of the laughs!

Not only does this zoo have 30 horses, it also has two men dressed up as kings.

Honestly one of the best parts of house rules is Teri’s presence and random comments 😂

okay, I think I get Teri's pun: Darth Vader in French is "Dark Vador" (pronounced Vah-Door) so the Horse pun works there.

As a former career event rider, I instantly thought “huh, I know nothing about chess but I know I’ll love this!” and then promptly lost my mind watching this because it’s so stupid 😂

I regularly play chess, and watch major tournaments, and this was hilarious! I occasionally made the mistake of looking at positions seriously, seeing what the best move would've been lol Also pleasantly surprised by Sully's chess knowledge! I do wonder what pro chess players would make of this.

I have a fun (horrible) house rules idea. Mastermind, but instead of pegs its those beanboozled horrible flavour jelly beans. Each turn you let the guesser know which colours and positions were right, but here's the kicker, they have to eat that whole row, meaning they have to remember which combinations they've previously done while also having to eat something potentially unpleasant. And when they guess correctly, the other player has to eat the beans they put out.

"Only Kings and Horses." Nah I think I see a couple fools there too. Love you both!

Horse Rules. Not a single Neighbours joke. Well played.

I’m not massive into board games, stumbled onto your channel by pure accident. Have watched a few of your videos, but by far house rules videos are my favourite I absolutely love them. The dynamic between Adam and Sully is amazing and it just makes you smile. Please keep the house rules content coming.

I'm glad to know that between shooting proper episodes for No Rolls Barred, making content for Parts Fun Known and Sullivan's improv comedy show with Rosie, the two of them have time to sit down with each other and just horse around. Ya love to see it. 😎👍🏻

Gigahorse literally murdered me

These puns already; Darth Vad'Horse/Neigh'Der: *_I_*_ am your Foulther_ probably my favourite HR so far. Gonna use this next games night I have!

She’s not the wife, she’s the mistress. One of the king’s horse. The queen horse jokes were my favorite bit. This video had me laughing so much my voice has gone horse. Doesn’t it just fillyou with joy? What unbridled chaos. Truly a knight-mare. Teri’s known for her ability to stirrup drama, so they had to rein her in. Glad they didn’t put this on the Patreon so I could watch it on the mane channel. Anyone else think the horse wall was just Sully’s way of stallion for time? It would have beehoofed sully to play more games with the computer. But then it would be unfair to Adam, he wouldn’t stand a prance. Finally, Sullivan’s first house rules whinny. Next game: play horseshoes with only feet. If anyone has other ideas, we could take a gallop poll?

Blunder 1: this episode should've been named - Horse Rules Ok, since you want a legit analysis, here: Blunder 3: 33:00 Adam made a mistake; he should've done N4b5 (if my notation is correct, the knight on d4 taking the B5 Knight). It would have mitigated his early loss in the game (Blunder 2) Other than that, Sully cleaned up nicely for his mating sequence, good work there! Some other notes that Sully has more experience: 1. knowledge of center control 2. commonly having more space indicates advantage 3. one hand for everything (he moves and takes the opponent's pieces with... one hand; this is like, customary when you play competitively/seriously) 4. With respect to projected ELO Rating, I can't really assess despite him mentioning losing to the lowest computer rating since this is a different board game altogether Also, congrats precious boi Sully for winning his first!!!

Congrats to King Sully for finally winning a game in this wild Horse Rules game play. I always knew he was a master strategist.

Teri, well done, this is my favourite episode of House Rules, and the editing of these S-Tier gags and nonsense is supreme work

At the point where sulivan said that moving the knight on H6 to G4 was the best move I think that instead Adams best move was to move the threatened piece to F5 (G7 would be my choice) This avoids the peice that was threatening it and Sulivan only has 2 peices he can use to recapture whilst adam has 4 In sequence White: G3 would then have to take F5 Black: E7 recaptures F5 White: E3 recaptures F5 Black: D6 recaptures F5 This trades the same number of peidces for each side, but leaves adam with a knight inside sulivans gaurd where it can act as a support for more aggreive plays

Now you need to take this even further and play bug horse chess. Two chess boards, back-to-back with four players. Any horse that one team defeats can be put back into play by the other player on that same team.

31:23 I'd really like to see an ACTUAL secret rules chess match between you two! Where you each get like 2 or 3 rules that only reveal during the game (when you lost both knights, you'll get one back first time you take a pawn. When taking a rook, it reappears somewhere the other player wants. When you check with a horse, it's automatically a mate) smth like that and they're different for both players

I had an idea for a house rules that I'm sure you'll be thrilled to hear about! Snakes and Ladders but every time you get a snake you do a shot, and every time you get a ladder... the other player does a shot :) Wouldn't go for vodka or you might perish so maybe something like Sourz? Could be called Snakes and Sourz? (not spon) or... Snakes and Bladders? Bladdered? Idk.. name is a work in progress 😅

House rule suggestions: Monopoly, but with only the “boardwalk” edge of the game board (and jail) Apples to Apples (Teri is always judge) but instead of red cards you have to use random objects you find around Draughts cafe.

You guys should play kerplunk with varying degrees of difficulty, like use chopsticks, pliers, or those grabber tools older people use. Each marble that falls could be a different punishment, like taking a shot, or a pie to the face. I personally like the idea of them getting drunker as the game goes on and the tools getting harder, could call it "kerdrunk"

You just brought back a memory from the depths of my mind... I need to see this video!!

I know just enough about chess to yell at Adam whenever he blunders. The game was lost at 33:05 where, instead moving the horse on D4 to capture the horse on B5, Adam moved his King to a position where it could be Checked *while* letting Sully get a horse in the process. (The march into horse jail at the end didn't help either). Over all though, wonderful content; something about House Rules brings out the best in these two, I feel. I mean, Sully's normally a barrel of laughs anyway, but something about this series drives him insane. Can't wait to see what's up next! You guys always seem to surprise me.

The early-mid game felt honestly more like checkers/draughts, I now want to see a game of that played but every piece is a chess bishop.

You guys had me at your first joke. This House Rules was gold, can't wait to see what comes next.

I literally started playing and learning chess last week so as an expert, I approve of this variant.

I really want Sullivan and Adam to play Uno whilst wearing monochromatic spectacles. They can give each other just one clue to the other player, after they've put a card down but the clue cannot involve any direct colour words, I.E: red, blue, yellow etc. Great vid but literally nothing will ever beat, "feel the gloves, listen....listen....listen to the blocks" for me.

My favorite moments were moving like brooke, horse force one, gigahorse, and all of the horse puns. It was truly a horsing success!
