This song is about cheating on your partner. It may sound sweet and romantic as hell but at the end of the day it's still a song about a woman cheating on her husband. Don't be fooled by the majestic fasad she's just a woman looking for another hot thrill. After she gets bored with the new flame she'll be on to the next one. And so on and so forth and stuff like that. This isn't romantic this is Lust in the worst form. The kind that tricks you into thinking this is romance if you don't pay attention to the lyrics. I love Cherrelle but this is very wrong.

@@lamontyaboy718 If your significant other is not fulfilling your needs due to neglect, selfishness, or disinterest, not only do I condone getting one's needs fulfilled elsewhere,-- I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. It is human nature to look towards someone else when that other someone is looking away from you. Only fools stay in loveless relationships. There's no such thing as cheating, there is only physical, emotional and spiritual detachment. The word "cheating" is a human construct that only children should use. The words "moving on" is a much more suitable construct applicable for adults. If you're not getting your needs met then pursue them somewhere else. Life is much too short to postpone one's needs. Regardless of its so-called "cheating" implications,-- It's still an enchanting, romantically transcending, "old-school" song.

@@legacy4179 right I understand that but in that case break the relationship first then find someone else. Why are you staying in a relationship then if you so unhappy and you getting your needs elsewhere. Just break it off with the first person then do everything with the next. I'm guessing because that other man is cheating too and can't commit to her fully and so she just getting pieces of a relationship from several men instead of all of it from one. This is absolutely horrible and will only end in disaster for all parties involved eventually. You are highly recommend this? This is gonna cause somebody to get shot. Wtf?

It’s such a blessing to be able to enjoy all the heart pounding, baby making, sweat my hair out music from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s through today. There has been some amazing music to hear during every decade I’ve been alive. That being said, Alexander O’Neal and Cherrelle will ALWAYS have a special place in my heart!

@@justiceforall31 Yep. It aired weekdays on WNYC-TV(PBS Channel 31) 1988 to sometime in the mid 90s. Before then, it aired on there Monday through Thursday evenings at 8:00 as well as weeknights at 11:00. Lol
