Just a thought, it might take more work, but I do see this on a lot of ig transcriptions, but they'll have it transposed in C for players of other instruments. Up to you though, keep up the good work 👍
Charlie did a wonderful job on this!
You’re a transcription machine! Well done. Love the alternate midi take.

I am a trumpet player in 9th grade that was a brilliant solo I wish I could improvise like that

You'll get there! These brilliant solos you hear are all from 50-60 year old players who made it their lives to play like that, so never be discouraged from an amazing solo like I have in the past! Just don't ignore all the theory behind it like I used to 🫢. Best of luck!

@@Ohmee9000 first of all thank you. Actually in this month I improved my solos a lot and I am really starting to be comfortable with jazz I just realized in some point that scales don't matter and the melody and the target notes are the important things and it just happned. I just wanna keep improving quick so I become good enough for doing jams in jazz clubs

@@kakiokaki7408 sit down and write your ideal solo with all the time in the world. Then, study your own solo like an etude and when its internalized, deliberately change things. It's a shortcut towards great target note leading

Great work! Thanks. Wonder if you could resolve those licks : kzread.info/dash/bejne/loelm7mpYarHcqw.html
Really weak playing here. It’s like the old line-what you’re doing here is both good and original. Unfortunately the good stuff is just ripped off Wynton Marsalis, and the original lines are pretty mediocre. Porter is an excellent classical player and would do well to avoid the pretense of being a jazz guy.

I would have to disagree, Charlie Porter’s playing style and technique is there. I feel as though he’s playing more laid back as opposed to “weak”. And despite the laid back feel at times, not only does his playing feel strong, but his melodic lines and improv are amazing, and explode with creativity, along with his smooth tone. Also the Wynton Marsalis comment feels really cheap, because not only do I find Mr. Porters playing style very different and unique, jazz is all about mimicking / sharing ideas. But I respect your opinion.
