Hey guys just a tip for advice - gas masks don't do anything except make it harder to breath if you don't have a filter on it ... You are just breathing what you'd normally breathe through little holes without any protection. Lol.

Like the suits they wear the masks to "feel protected". They don't have any real protection except not-gettin-too-wet-suits. To protect yourself from poisonous and/or radioctive dust particles they should at least use HEPA-filters. For radiation shielding protons are best: Lead, concrete, water; anything very heavy... You know those heavy lead vests that radiologist wear for x-ray? Other than that only distance keeps you from too much exposure. But how should they know? They don't have dosimeters, they don't have Geiger counters. You can not sense radiation besides visible light. These guys don't know wether they're standing next to the most radioactive doorhinge of the planet whilst beeing afraid of a harmless puddle of rainwater...

Start bringing your dosimeters so you can explore more knowing there isn't high radiation levels.

Walking around one of the buildings near reactor 5 (I don’t think they are inside the reactor building itself) is interesting enough, why all the charade with the filter less gas masks and ‘looking for nuclear waste’. Reactor 5 was never used or completed, it got to about 70% complete and then was stripped of most the valuable materials during the early 90s. This building has radiation as it is is fairly close to reactor 4, but the land outside is likely worse than the building interior. It was deffinitley never used for storage of nuclear waste of any kind.

Yeah it's just for entertainment purpose but i still like watching the videos. Also that they forgot their geiger counter... of course... No it's because there is not much radiation at all near reactor 5. There are fucking tourist tours at the places they are filming. You get more radiation with every commercial flight. Nevertheless their videos are dope!

@@roykale9141 he played sick or he ate something wrong. There is no radiation in reactor 5 because it was never in use. If you get so sick that you have to vomit (like in the video) because of the radiation you need to go to the hospital asap or you die in the followong days/weeks. Their videos are really cool and entertaining, they do a lot of crazy stuff but some of their stunts are fake.

Well you don’t have to be irradiated very horribly, but if it detects something it’s not a good sign, ideally if your going to be messing around in a radioactive area you should be wearing a dosimeter that should be checked after each trip into the contaminated area as well as carrying a Geiger counter so you know if you are in a area that is to hot.

@@Justin-ou6gq its not, its just normal fetus deformity, he had some less lucky genes, and ended up looking kinda small and with strange facial features. could be the result of alcohol or other drugs during pregnancy but very unlikely. he just looks his own way

Yes, its is fascinating :-) I followed Kreosan back when they were building electric bicycles, but they really stepped it up since. Diving into Chernobyl, stunning. I'm again glued to the screen :-)

1. No dosimeters 2. Chemical protection suits (In other video SuperSUS was diving into radioactive water in reactor building in that) 3. Gas mask without filter Safety is number -priority- ... what is the last number?

Wearing bright colored jackets, gasmasks without filters (instead i would carry food or something do drink), useless protection suits. All their behaviour is only stupid but not daredevil.

That place is probably less radioactive than the outside and gas mask without a filter do absolutely nothing but making your field of view smaller.

Just getting to see the inside of these buildings is amazing enough.

Some people are saying that most of the danger from radiation here is fake. And all I have to say is exploring abandoned buildings in an exclusion zone is dangerous in itself. And considering how you can still find random hot particles and random things are radiated across the entire exclusion zone you are not safe no matter what. Besides, considering the particulate in the air, the mold, and the off gassing of all the decomposing materials across this entire site these guys are already harming themselves. Then you add in the stagnant water with whatever lives in it into the picture. So, Yup. Good luck guys.

From Arizona- just saying I love the Pripyat videos, the others as well. There's so much more on the original videos, it is helping with my Russian. Two thumbs up friends!

@@kwinzman the videos are translated and that takes time, causing a delay between the original and the translated one. Also note that 1 trip is cut into multiple parts and that they can choose whatever part to upload so it will get mixed up.

I thought exactly the Same! However I now read, that this reactor wasn't in use at any time and there isn't any radioactive waste. So walking outside in chernobyl is probably way more dangerous. So this is also probably the reason, why they "forgot" their geiger counter: there is no radiation, but they want us to believe so. So they are just faking the dangerous situation to gain more attention😅

One of the nuclear waste storages was used as HQ of the decontamination groups after the disaster, because it was never used to store any waste, but these have well protected walls, so it was perfect for HQ. So if this was that one, then it didn't have any nuclear waste inside.

Number 5 was never finished and the reactor was never installed

The nuclear waste unit in Chernobyl is only been around for 2 years. Whatever building you are in is NOT a nuclear waste storage building! A REAL nuclear containment facility is usually underground where nuclear waste is put in Lead containers covered by concrete. Waste water is usually evaporated and the dried material is moved to containment.

This would be much more fascinating if you guys had a Geiger counter ti measure if you're in any extra radioactive areas

You know they're in unfinished reactor 5. These reactors were still running after Chernobyl happened, until the 1990s. But, reactor 5, never ran they stop building it as a result of number four blowing up. So, I don't think it was that Radioactive over in reactor 5. The only reason for it being radioactive at all, is its proximity to reactor 4. But I'm not sure, so don't quote me on this.🤪⁉️ yeah, Super sus, you're protected from radiation all right. If that water is radioactive, the water opens your pores in your skin, and then the rubber suit actually holds the radiation in. Yeah that wasn't smart. As for the gas mask, they weren't stupid for inventing it. It's saved millions of lives. It's just made to purify the air you breathe. You can't breathe underwater, silly. That's a hard. That's a hell.🗣 don't be surprised if you glow like a candle after this, LOL you would have been more protected, just jumping in there naked, and swallowing some of that water.

Tbh you could go in as people went into reactor 4 and the camera started breaking up but here isn't very radioactive.

Water is a moderator so it's a good thing, it provides some protection from the debris contained within. Walking in it doesn't help though and those suits are ancient, the rubber in them degrades, just like in the masks.. which are useless without filters. A simple particulate mask would do better than that. A suit protects you from dust, not radiation, it just makes decontamination easier. I can't believe you guys go in there without personal dosimeters and a geiger counter. I would not enter there without a dosimeter, geiger counter (preferably one capable of alpha detection), at least a tyvek suit and a respirator.

They have one for sure and they know that this area is safe. You don’t need a dosimeter as long you don’t go to the vehicle graveyards and abounded machines.

Looks like rain water in the room. Maybe low radiation only. If you´re lucky. Now we know the interior of the facility. But please don´t forget the dosimeter.
