Jimbo this is awesome! Now I just want to see a spray glaze that fills in minor swirls and imperfections that can be topped with hard as shell to seal in the glaze! To me that would be everything because I don’t want to compound and polish every year. If I could apply a glaze that masks imperfections and then seal it in with hard as shell…dang, that’s like the ultimate life hack.

My wife had her Y iridescent wrapped reddish and purplish and then had it ceramic coated over the wrap. Then later I put on bead it up and it gave the ceramic wrap a mirror finish. Crazy. I used it on the wheels too and they are now far easier to clean and have an nice semi shiny finish. Makes the ugly black wheel covers surprisingly really nice.

Easiest answer to why some bigger companies don’t make very durable products is the money grab. When something performs great initially, it makes you think it’s a good product. Then when it dies down quickly, it makes you think “I gotta go buy more”. Because it worked great in the beginning, people would stick to the same item with the mentality of “why fix it if it’s not broken” rather than try something else. This video is that eye-opener everyone needs to see.

  • @autodetailingpodcast

That’s the best explanation I’ve heard why they would do that. My thought is that if you make good products and people have success with them they will continue to purchase and it will be a win win win.

Gotta be honest, durability looks good. However, even from the first rinse, the contact angle of the beads doesn’t look that impressive with hard as shell. Seems to hold up quite well, though. Armour detail supply ceramic sealant has much more impressive looking beads. Not sure how its durability would hold up against HAS?

The panel was pretty dusty so I realized that the first rinse always looks a little off. I also used a wash and wax soap on accident and that can distort the beads. Others have reported very nice beads. I’ve also heard super good things about Armour, super happy to have other brands with great products that people seem to love. I just ordered some for myself to check out too.

Looking forward to challenging up against higher grade products such as Armour Detail Supply Ceramic Spray Sealant, Ceramic Gloss DIY Detail and other in the more professional brand class. I didn’t order your products because your website photos show those shitty spray triggers. I feel like if a company skimps on triggers - the chemicals are probably cheap garbage too. That being said, now that I know you are using Tolco triggers, I’m gonna place an order. So now that you know people like me won’t order a product because of cheap triggers I’d highly recommend updating your website with new photos of the triggers and the gallons! If your stuff is that good, I’ll order some gallons next.
