I'm not a chelsea fan, I'm united through and through, but this era was golden for the PL. This 6 year battle we had with you lot for EVERYTHING, leagues, cups, CLs etc was up there with the best. Hated you and Jose at the time (for obvious reasons) but it was a time MILES ahead of today's PL. Genuine title challenges compared to today's 1 team league 😔

SAF didnt plan to buy Rooney that summer but after Newcastle made their move, he was forced to accelerate the deal eventhough hes just bought Smith earlier that summer. So forlan had to lose his place and tbh nobody cared much about it at that time and thought we got decent deal from Villareall (5m)

Jose never lost his magic. Man utd hierarchy disrespected him and spurs is spurs (a club who has no fire nor desire to win). He was terrific at Chelsea, Inter, Madrid, and his 2nd spell at Chelsea. Now he’s doing great with Roma. Him winning the europa league w Roma is gonna be special for the special one.
