I like the referee's character,no nonsense and the red cards she gave was deserved.Greenwood, how can you be delaying like that, she's the architect of her punishment and hemp's own was a second yellow card so no arguments but Chelsea really needs to step up because how can a team play 21 shots and and only one found the back of the net anyways kudos to my dear blues 💙💙💙💙

The problem with referees is that they are inconsistent. As a referee, it is no good if there is a difference in the decisions made between the two teams. Lauren May Hemp received a yellow card. She committed a foul and is fine with that. However, the problem is that the foul committed by a Chelsea player on Hemp in the same match did not result in a yellow card. If you watch the video again, you can see that the foul the Chelsea player committed against Hemp is worse than the foul committed by Hemp. I'll say it again. This referee was inconsistent.

Against a tough team she should have played the same eleven as last week and eas the likes of Cuthbert especially back into the game. Erin. The others still got some minutes last week. If she wanted experience she could have started Melanie rather than Erin. But we have a lot of games to go.

@@stausser6074 the game got harder for Chelsea after the red. City was already up so defending the three points meant that City would minimise their attack. Chelsea's stats were superior they just weren't clinical in the final third coupled with the way City defended and help from the crossbar a few times. With respect to the referee, The premier league is the same thing. We just haven't seen it happen to the same player twice in a game.

Personally, if I was the ref, I would have gone over and warned her that if she did that again, she'd get a yellow card, then continued play, but that ref was correctly applying the rules. As for another team time-wasting, that has no bearing on the rules, just how the referee in that game applied them.

Not clearly to see on this vid but if any of those Ch. players ( right after the 'Greenwood incident', minute 6.00 in the vid) also stepped out the pitch ( having a drink, instructions aso) and stepped back in without the consent of a referee, shouldn't they be booked also ?
