Hi Rory, I'm a West Ham fan and a very realistic one at that. You're right we didn't deserve to win that based on our performance...in the first half. In the first half you walked all over us and should've been 2 or 3 up, but in the second half the resilience we showed, especially when we went down to 10 men shows that Chelsea didn't deserve anything more than a draw if I'm being very generous. Yous huffed and and puffed but ultimately just didn't have the ability to win it. You need a genuine number 9 target man, and I know you hate him but the transfer window is almost closed and Lukaku is still on your books...

"West ham are so average" that attitude Rory is one of the reasons why everyone hates Chelsea the arrogance to think that you could just rock up and the 3 points would be so easy to take away.

Context matters, I don’t disagree that Caicedo had a terrible debut, maybe the price tag or the transfer saga is playing on his head, remember he’s still very young, not a proper pre season, not saying that performance is warranted, but let’s back him. Enzo didn’t light up stamford bridge on his debut either, they’ll both come good. We threw on a defensive midfielder 2-1 down, we played against a team that through everything behind the ball, we need to go back to a 4 at the back

Rory, I love that you keep talking about doing the fans proud. Bruv, I hope that most of these Chelsea players are Chelsea fans, but most likely not. I don't think many players playing for their teams are fans of their team. The biggest incentive you can give someone is personal incentive. With Boehly splashing the cash on 10 year deals, what incentive is there? Players won't be playing for contract extensions, they could easily sit on the bench and faf about. I think the Chelsea board has some real explaining to do. 1bln dollars spent on midfielders mostly, and not a single out and out goalscorer has been bought.

Big transfer fees almost always backfire. Neymar PSG, Coutinho Barcelona, Pogba United to name a few. The jury is out on Enzo, Mudryk, Caicedo.

If West Ham are so average what does that make Chelsea 🤔

Always articulate and always honest Rory, another fantastic video thanks. I'm completely baffled at what Arteta is trying to do, Partey at right back with white CD and Gabi on the bench. I seem to remember Pep tinkering with his team at the start of last season and getting it wrong but then eventually getting it back on track. Arteta needs to do similar on a quicker timescale because these teams he's sending out don't seem like teams that are sent out to win the match, I think he's possibly trying to hard to be unpredictable, get the 3 points first!

Imagine paying 115M for a player for him only to nearly give a goal away late on to then commit a foul in the penalty box not long later on his debut 😂😂😂. You couldn’t even make it up lmao!

@@ojshaw7671 bro, we would have LOVED to have them. But you have to admit, it's not just the project but also the money that contributed to their decision to join Chelsea. Liverpool offered Caicedo 120K per week for 5 years. Chelsea is giving him 250K for 7 years. No brainer. Caicedo in DM would have literally catapulted us to title challengers. We have the system in place and he had to just grace the slot.

For a team with nearly a billion invested into it, the mind boggles as a rival fan when I see Gallagher, Chukwuemeka, Jackson, Sanchez as starters for a club like Chelsea. Even the bench doesn't inspire anything. What has the money gone on, honestly? Terrible money management. Looks like a lot of kids thrown together, who know if it doesn't work out, they will just get a move to a decent club in Europe.

Would've been okay losing to westham by 3-1 if they had equal players on both sides, but losing to 10 man westham.

I think one thing that is being overlooked right now, understandable of course is that Sterling performed LEVELS above what we have really seen him play like for Chelsea. Overall as a team yeah we were terrible but one thing i took away from that game is that Sterling actually looked like he wanted it. On to Friday, COYB🔵💙

West Ham away in recent times is just one of those bogey fixtures for chelsea, doesn't matter what squad we have or recent streak we got going, never confident going there and getting 3 points..

I mean, there really wasn't any way these extortionate transfer fees were ever going to be justified. You can't spend such ridiculous sums on somewhat promising players and give them sensational long-term contracts and expect them to have the quality nor the incentive to give their all. The squad is so wholly renovated that it lacks cohesion, and the players are too inexperienced to settle in quickly. It's just a shit show.

Despite having 5 players in the middle of the park, whilst having two players that broke the British transfer record, chelsea still couldn’t boss the midfield against West Ham 😅

I'm a United fan but I enjoy your channel, and much of what you're saying about Chelsea's performance here is how I feel about the way United have started the season. Sigh. Anyway, thanks for the content from a fan of a rival team.

if you were an alien and came down to earth and saw Brighton and Chelsea and had to figure out who was the £1bn team out of the two , you would straight away think Brighton were that team! Chelsea managers and owners have literally have been naive in thinking just spending money and out players together is all you have to do to be a successful team. It's made that every single player in the last year is potential , not a single one is world class or established. If the age or experienced players with potential were more balanced out they would be more successful but it's just hard to look at that team and see where the money has been spent. Why didnt they in the last year target, Mbappe, Kane, Rice, Bellingham , Gvaldiol, ect...... scariest thing is the majority are on 8 year deals.
