    Chef please Trust me when i tell you this! "BONE BROTH" Has alot of great benefits! Bone broth provides glycine, contains zero carbohydrates, and is a good protein source.     Keep eating healthy your wife too ...dont give up! Your family needs you and wife healthy and well. Your family cooking before had lots of added sugar, salt and deep frying. Looked yummy especially the lamb recipes😊God Bless you both and the family❤

    Chef, avoid eating anything that is white - rice, pasta, bread etc. Do fasting. Eat your last meal at 6pm and then have breakfast after 16 hours. Eliminate sugar. Reduce lamb to once a month. Eat fish and chicken. Always walk for 10 mins after each meal - keeps your blood sugar low. Eat lots of green and always eat greens first before eating meat or fish. Reduce portion size and soon your stomach will get used to having small portions. You will see results within 2 weeks. Also don’t eat any packaged food. Eat apple, guava, cucumber etc for snack.

    A new word that comes with age and being Samoan, moderation. E taga le ai a'o le ai fuafua, se'i tulou a le aofia. Toaga e inu le laumoli ave iai le fiu ma le apple cider vinegar ae aua le fa'asuka. Ave iai le organic unfiltered honey. Inu i le taeao ma le Afiafi. Fresh herbs and spices as opposed to dried and powdered. Love your channel. Using olive, avocado, and coconut oil also helps. Drink freshly made juices, less soda and homemade food is better. Just thought I'd share that. Was in hospital for 3 months, same reason kind of. Eat when you're hungry but opt for an apple or something light and healthy.     I saw chef in hospital and it is good to see him home .So what i understood chef has stage 3 kidney problems stage 4 is very bad what i understood but not sure what he has . Well chef you are young with a very beautiful family and what i have seen in your videos you all enjoy life when you guys go camping with your beautiful car ,boat ,caravan cooking laughing having fun .It would be sad to stop such a beautiful life so when the doctor says something you must listen if your car was not going so well you would listen to your mechanic and fix the problem us humans are the same dont ignore the body when its telling you something is not right.

    Talofa family. Chef I had that. Your health condition was just like what I had. My treatments was cut sugar wheat n dairy. Yes that's bread eggs anything made of falaoamata. So no cakes no meat. I wanted to live so I cut All the bad food. My drs, nutritionist. Naturalpath. But most of all our Heavenly father. Thank God I'm still alive today. My stricked diet was worth it eating almost nothing lol. Beans veges n fruit. Yes wat God gave us to eat. Let me know if you would want me to give you a menu. Love you family ❤❤

    Chief cut out bread rice anything that has sugar. Look into the carnivore diet. Change Ur salt to celtic salt. Use natural animal fat. Praying for your family and for good health. Much love❤

    Sorry to tell you chef, but flour and gravy is not healthy choice. Try butter garlic lemon sauce with fresh thyme 🥗🍋🌿 also peanut butter has hiden salt and sugars most avoid. An alternative is fresh cucumber with greek yogurt. 🙏

    cinnamon is really nice to add to your black coffee. cinnamon helps to lower blood sugar levels. Stay consistent and you will see the changes unfold. God Bless you all .

    You got to watch the among of salt you put in your food and also eating to much sugar sweets isn't good to, can lead to being a diabetic. But glad you are out of the hospital and back home with your family. Thanks for sharing. God bless you and your family. Aloha and Talofa from Hawaii

    God’s healing hands will guide you. It’s a huge change but a necessary one. You should also include the children, their eating habits aren’t good either. All that sodium and processed food will lead to health problems as well. God bless everyone.

    Glad to see you’re home Chef! Best thing to do is to ask your PCP to send you to see a dietitian so they can go over what you can eat to improve your situation. Even though you’re eating healthy foods you must portion the amount you’re eating. Cut out carbs & starch. My mom ended up having to have dialysis so I’m really familiar with Kidney Disease/Failure. Remember 3 portioned healthy meals & 3 healthy snacks! You can do it! You must do it! For yourself, Rita & the kids!! 🙏🏽 stay safe & blessed out there Cooking with Rona Family 🙏🏽❤️

    Chef you still can turn this around and fast to reset your body I was the same as you but I fast and change my eating Can’t eat any kind ways have to be strick We have only one life please take care Look into fasting and when u get a hang of fasting Try the 7 day fasting as well it saved my life And it’s the portion amount and oils Dialysis ppl don’t survive long Cut the peanut butter and try the almond butter Peanut butter to much sugar And bread you need to try keto bread cause they turn into sugar I had to start cook with avocado oil or olive oil I know it’s hard keep strong I had to cut meals 2 times or just fast and eat dinner only Keeping you in prayers and your family ♥️

    The people who usitasi to the doctor's advise while on dialysis live longer than those who don't. My Dad had kidney dialysis for more than 10 years and he started in his 60's. He wasn't meant to live that long, but he always followed the doctor's advice. 👍🏽

    Much love to you & your family chef. You should try veggies & fruits. Lay of the fatty food such as lamb buns pork buns lamp flaps, anything with fat on any meat… I suggest drinking ( Organic Barley Grass Powder ) every morning. You can find this in Costco. Trust me drinking this can prevent cancer/diabetes/ any disease. Pray for healing’s & strength over you. Best of luck & like always God bless you 🙏

    Is that white bread? White bread spikes my sugar levels. I switched to a different bread that doesn't raise my sugar. If I put milk in my eggs, and ate white bread, my sugar would be well over 200. I have been told that if it's white, it isn't right. Flour, sugar, milk, pasta, and so on. Do you check your sugar before you eat, and two hours after you eat?

    Chef God bless you and ur family. U know this is out of love….our ppl eat way too much salt. It’s in our genetics we have HTN (hypertension lol) which is another assault on the kidneys not ONLY the heart. The worst disease is Diabetes. It eats into every organ!!! Rita! Bfast is not the most important meal…that’s a lie. Our body knows what it needs ❤ HOWEVER Chef does need a special diet bc of his diabetes 😢 love u guys. God bless

    The downfall of enjoying/eating Polynesian foods where we tend 2 forget 'portion & fat content' & the foods that you/Rita prepare is truly mouth watering bcoz that's what we've grown up with SADLY we can't keep this up in Western world its damaging our health SO please take care of each other where you can still enjoy the foods but with healthier versions blessings all❤❤❤

    chef please listen to ur wife I’m type 2 I cut off the soda completely it was my choice it was hard cause Mt dew was my favorite soda now I can’t drink soda at all I used zero calorie sugar or Splenda it’s all in ur mind I only eat fish or chicken with steam vegetables I still eat whatever I grave for as long as I watch each portion of my meal never skip ur meal a day I know for been diabetes you always gonna feel hungry all the time so please listen to ur wife n take care ur health u have beautiful family lovely wife that cares so much about you n her family ❤❤🙏

    You gotta do some exercises as the doctor said and I believe that you can eat anything your body can except and taste nice as long as you do some exercise in between if you can't run around the park just start with walking like a rugby park every corner you gotta do a push up or situps start jumping and squats just the easy ones to start with because you been cooking a lot of heavy food and a lot fat and the way you eat that's why some people commented you gotta slow down use a knife and fork that will slow you down just try that for now and see if it works if you can fill any different look after yourself you still young alofa atu

    Let yr food be yr medicine cut the sugar bread sugary drinks focus on protein eat 3 times a day breakfast should be healthy smoothly then have lunch then dinner, mate watch dr Fung to get more expert advice, healthy blood A1c should be around 4 or 5 and pray thr rosary mate you have a betiful wife and a young family GB

    Yes, moderation but also the type of food your eating. For instance, butter bread, not good. Also avoid flour, salt…, the gravy you made …..that’s a big no for a diabetic.
