I'm gonna give it to Cyanide Studios, It might not be perfect, but at least they are miles ahead of the mass majority of "simulators" that come out these days. Plus it's always nice to see studios focus on niché games instead of going for another shooter or RPG.

I am really late to this game but I played Hotel Renovator prior and my biggest complaint is lack of detail to the NPC’s/guests. From their attire and look to mechanics. Once you get your properties to a certain level, the customers should reflect the environment. Dress code, etc.

Thank you so much for this review. I've been interested in this game a while but there's so many things that can make or break simulation games, and I find lately too many just ruin what I'm looking for. This game looks intense. It's on a really good sale right now but, I might hold off just yet as all the things you've listed are definitely things that would frustrate me and probably ruin my experience a fair bit. Maybe on a bigger sale I'll still reconsider it.

Me too, just stopped short of my first star

As Hobby cook myselfe, i had to buy it. What can i say. Game's compleatly mental.👍👍 Right my cup of tea. Had a bluescreen yesterday (ps4) and a some bits a odd but i'm looking forward they'll fix it. ⭐⭐ For now.

Never heard a PS4 blue screen before.. Then again never owned a ps4.. PC are common as I had to fix my old PC a few times..

I think you are wrong about having to remove a pot from the warmer in order to take a portion out? I can take a portion of green beans while the pot remains on the warmer, but I find the controls a bit weird, tbh.

@@SimUKReviews You have to use the leftstick to focus on the pot. If focus is on items in your inventory, you have to LS farright sometimes. If items on the warmer-tray are focussed, you have to LS up to focus on the pot-items. Not sure, I find it clunky, as I said. Im on PC, btw, (with gamepad) not sure if that makes a difference.

LS up while you focus any Container till in shows it's content. (ps4 in my case) Like the geen bean pot on the warmer. You can see the 4 portion and grab a single one.

um, if you want to take green beans from a pot that's got 4 and is on the warmer... you do NOT have to take it off the warmer and take the beans and put it back... you can just hit 'e' to open the menu where you would add something to the bottom of the warmer... then push 'up' like, up toward the pot, which will select the pot, and now you can take beans out of it with spacebar like normal. i was annoyed they didn't put that in the tutorial, cuz it took me a while to notice.

I play on a controller, not keyboard and mouse. I made a whole episode on this, a little further into the series.... There is a hidden block stopping the controller from being able to move up to the beans, and it affects EVERYTHING. It is a bug, but hasn't been fixed yet.

Would this still be your opinion of the game? the games on sale down to £20 and I was thinking about buying it but wanted to see others opinions on it first. From what I can tell just watching it does look pretty good

I would say this is more of a 'relaxed' cooking experience, whilst still being intense and challenging. Cooking simulator is more realistic, but also more clunky (takes a lot of time and effort to master the controls, let alone the dishes).

Good game, very fun but its strange its not a sandbox or atleast have that option. Most is very forced no skip tutorial (very outdated not to have that in a simulator especially) Personal you can hire is limited and forced story based. The first couple of dishes you unlock is forced, hell pretty much the direction of dishes you unlock is in a forced kinda order since its level based with not alot of variation along the road untill later. Again its really fun but its a shame ur not free to do anything, you cant really specialized in anything since you kinda have to grind their unlock-dish-list. You cant grow at the paste you like have to follow the story. You cant even controle the amount of dishes on ur list for the evening, cant have a pancake burger or spaghetti night for fun cause you NEED 3 dishes at least yadayada, now that doesnt matter all that much but it does feel forced. That does bring it down alot.

Some....Our sister channel SimUKUltimateRealism has over 50 episodes with some of the improvements made.

Fun to play on ps5, but unplayable after lvl 20. Data corrupts and is deleted every time. Tried 5 different times, and each time corrupted and deleted.

I think some of your criticisms of this game are unfair. Your problems come from a lack of knowledge of the game rather than the game itself. You can take stuff out of the pots on the warmer without moving them. The recipes tell you what stages can be refrigerated or warmed. If it doesn't say either, then it will disappear at the beginning of service. I will agree with you on the fridges... they suck and new ones aren't cheap at £300. It gets hectic, the difficulty ramps up, and it is an enjoyable time sync and a good little game. For such a small play space (youre in a kitchen) to make it enjoyable and engaging is something the devs deserve credit for.

I've since discovered you can take beans from the pot...but otherwise, I stand by my criticisms; Only because I like simulation and this veers away from that. Enjoyable game? Yes, Absolutely! Simulator? Absolutely not 😆

Your review was entertaining but I expect nothing less than from the English lol I personally can’t recommend this game in its current state, especially for those on PS5. I preordered the Al Forno DLC and wasn’t given it. Additionally, the saves are corrupted after playing 20h, everything is gone. They are aware of the issue and others have encountered it as well. Very frustrated because it’s a good game and has potential but it’s not enjoyable in the current state and I haven’t gotten what I paid for.
