    Unbelievable my father was in the restaurant business for decades and I have it in my blood. I had never heard about Alice Waters and shame on me that shows how little I know. The woman is exceptional to say the least. I'd like to have a copy of that book

    @@gmar7836 I was just thinking how sending a Thank You card to someone who is not expecting one would be a good thing to do today.

    @@rr7firefly sure! But I think the card would have to show that you’re grateful to them for something. Otherwise they won’t figure out why you’re grateful for them. Lol

    But thank you for your comment because I agree with you 100%. I come across too many people who are not grateful. I hope they all have a crappy Christmas. Example: you’re driving and you let someone cut in and they don’t give you the universal thank you wave. That always gets me. Like they expect it

    @@gmar7836 I have friends who periodically tell me that I make their lives better. I suppose that is an indirect way of saying "Thanks." // I just remembered that the theme song for "Golden Girls" is "Thank You for Being a Friend."
