Cheesy Bread You've Never Eaten! This recipe is over 100 years old! Quick and tasty
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
I have never eaten such delicious bread! Simple and easy cheesy flatbreads for breakfast! Quick recipe. It only takes a few simple ingredients to make this recipe, such as flour, water, some cheese and butter. I'm sure anyone can make it! Friends, write to me in the comments, did you like the recipe? 🤗😍
Recipe and ingredients:
200 ml warm water.
1 teaspoon salt.
Mix well.
Add 150 grams of flour and mix.
Add another 150 grams of flour and knead the dough.
The dough should be a little sticky.
Cover the dough for 10 minutes.
Grate 100 grams of gouda cheese or any other cheese of your choice.
Divide the dough into 4 parts.
Make 4 balls.
Cover the dough so it doesn't dry out.
Roll out the dough very thin.
Melt 100 grams of butter.
Brush the dough with butter.
Add grated cheese.
Add some sesame seeds.
Roll the dough into a roll.
Roll out the flatbread to 18 cm in diameter.
Grease the skillet with butter.
Cook over medium heat.
Brush the top of the flatbread with butter.
Flip over to the other side from time to time until golden brown.
Now the cheese mini bread is ready.

I'm from southern part of India. We call this as "Parotta". We usually eat this Parotta with chicken or mutton or egg gravy or mixed vegetables gravy. If you made this with wheat flour it is called as Chapathi. If it is stuffed with cauliflower or potato any vegetables we call it as paratha e.g. aloo paratha if it is stuffed with potatoes. U can try to taste many Indian traditional dishes. It would be very tatsy to eat. 😇☺️

Greetings from Kenya 🇰🇪! 😃 We call this Chapati. For us, the more the layers it has, the tastier it is! It’s not common to mix the dough with cheese, but it’s very common to use grated carrot or pumpkin! 🎉 Thanks to the Indian/Persian/Arab traders who brought this recipe to us in the late 1800s-1900s🙌🏾😋

I'm watching from the Netherlands, but I'm half Cantonese. My grandma, who is Chinese, makes a similar flatbread from the dough leftovers from when she makes dumplings, "wor tip" as we call dumplings in Cantonese. she makes those flatbreads with sesame seeds most often but sometimes with leek or with cheese as well. we call the flat bread something like "pop-pain" (idk how you'd actually write it in Pinyi) but I just googled it and it's called Shanghai Scallion Flatbread.

Its called a scallion pancake
I'm trying this for sure! I like how you rolled it then twisted it and rolled it again before flattening it out to cook. That's what gives it those layers inside like pastry. Nice job. Looks amazing!

Really simple to make. If rolled a little thinner I bet it would make a great cheesy soft taco. I would try experimenting with different fillings for variety to make personal pizzas, Garlic and spices in the dough and roll thicker before cooking. So many options for this recipe, Thank You from US.

Hello, I am in the USA. My mother used to make a bread similar to this. Minus the cheesy layers. She called it a fried flat bread. She would add a small amount of corn meal to the mixture. When she cooked her recipe she used pork grease from her fried bacon to cook it in instead of butter. I am going to try your recipe it looks so much more tastefully than my moms. (Sorry mom.)

Hello Donna, pork fat or lard, this is not for those who like this type of food. But these tortillas can be used as a wrap for any filling, sweet or not. 😜

There's a mediterranean bakery I used to go to all the time, until I moved. They had a similar flat bread, but with herbs on top. So good! I'm from Michigan btw.

I made this with wheat flour! Love it! So easy. An I endorse this recipe as easy! Because I’m the one that makes all the mistakes! I let my dough rise for an hour as I ran an errand. No problems.

Why would you let it rise? There is no yeast in it. Yes let it rest for twenty minutes so it's easier to roll out, but it's never going to rise!
Looks so good and yummy, super easy to make too

I've been wanting to try to eat hummus more, I feel like this would be a cheap and easy thing to eat it with, especially since I already have all of this just in my kitchen. Maybe I could also put some scrambled egg and bacon on top as a breakfast wrap. Definitely has a lot of potential for something so simple and easy.

This is amazing. In Edmonton Alberta, Canada we have a green onion cake we make this way except, obviously we replace the cheese with scallions. It is our city dish. I am going to combine both into one like MsBigdog#1. Thanks so much. :)

I'm originally from the USA, but I live in Slovakia now. In the US we called it cheesy bread and we used to make it using biscuit dough. Here in Slovakia they have something similar called "Lángos" but they put the cheese on top, not inside.

Hi there, I'm from Indonesia, in my country we called this "Roti Mariam", origin from India (I think it was called Paratha in India?). Indonesian usually ate Roti Mariam with curry however lately due to modern food trends, people ate it with chocolate jam, cheese, etc. But IMO curry is still the best pair for it. Anyway, thx for the recipe.

Hello my friend I'm happy to subscribe to my channel and write your comment 💜
In my country, we usually call that "canai" bread. I usually made that without adding cheese (the recipe just end at 3:35 and cook that), instead i added cheese and condensed milk after it's cooked. And it can be eated with curry (without cheese and milk).
