Cheese Paste Chub Fishing Recipe (The Best Bait Ever)
Today I am using all that left over Christmas cheese that's sat in my fridge to make one of the most old school and also deadly river fishing baits for Chub - Cheese paste.
Now to start this off I will say this is a beginners step by step guide and I also know it's not hard to make but as a kid starting out I had to read the angling times to find a recipe or how to guide so if you have never made it before or keen to see how I do it then this is for you, if you're a 30 year river fishing veteran then there's probably nothing to learn here.
Key point is the smellier the cheese the better. Personally I threw in all the spare cheese that we had regardless as it was only going to get wasted otherwise and th extra oil fat and scent can't and won't do the bait any harm.

Loved the video. 😊 I have never seen someone melt the cheese down in a pot on the stove. I am a huge fan of cheese paste, I swear by it and always have some when fishing.

Thank you for watching! I have always found it easier to mix up by melting it down. Some of the older cheese I use from time to time, that stuff that goes hard in the fridge just wouldn’t mix well otherwise!
Being a chub angler myself,I'm always interested in everyone elses cheese paste recipes. Yes there are easier ways of doing this but at the end of the day,there isn't a right or a wrong way of knocking cheese paste up. I like adding garlic puree or garlic powder to my mix or sometimes I'll just add some mustard powder. Good video....great for a beginner 👍👍👍

Hey Nick thanks for watching and commenting! Garlic paste is somthing I used to add when I was a kid doing this but to be honest a lot of my fishing nowadays is boat angling at sea but garlic paste is one I shall go back to next time thanks for the reminder 😃
