I know in Next Movie they did this as a skit on stage (this *was* a stage performed skit they did as well) but i remember seeing it in the setting of Up in Smoke....

Wait wait... i think we are both right/wrong. Next Movie was them going to Hollywood. It had the insane asylum, Pee Wee Herman, and ended with the aliens. Still Smoking *was* the one were they went to Amsterdam (horrible movie). And i think it might have been in Next Movie that had this scene. Even tho in my memory its blocked like it was in Up in Smoke.

this scene was cut because it didn't flow well with the storyline. Him being messed up in court followed him taking loads of pills because he was swallowing evidence from the arresting officer after cheech freaked out from the LSD he took. so it just seemed to make sense that Chong was messed up from so many pills. Even if it took 3 days to go to seeing a judge. It's kind of funny but clearly got cut for lack of humor.
