I’m seeing them and Aviations in Chicago in May. Where you catching them?

Had the pleasure of seeing these guys live in 2022, opening for Leprous and Apocalyptica in a fairly small venue. My god they killed it, their mix was the best of the night and their performance was stellar. I'm a huge Leprous fan, but Wheel legitimately stole the show. Best up and coming act in the prog scene by far imho.

Oh man, Wheel just released their new single today called 'Porcelain' and it's a ----ing awesome 7 minute slow burn! I've listened to Empire plenty of times, it's a short banger, but you've got to check out the new _new_ single.

@@danielwade1978 It's good so far! Only listened to it a few times because I want to wait for the full album to release. Already heard the 2022 EP their putting on the CD version of Charismatic Leaders so it feels like I've already listened to most of the album! Gonna give a thorough listen when I have the CD in my player.

Porcelain was just so tasty, but wait till you hear Saboteur. That one will hit you between the eyes and take yer face off. An absolute MONSTER of a track. The album just builds incredibly from Porcelain all the way to The Freeze. Perfection. @danielwade1978 ... I just saw Wheel in Toronto last week with Aviations. Never heard of them, but bought their album at the show. Their sound was actually really bad, but James (Wheel's singer) mentioned that they didn't have time to do their sound check because the bands' van broke down out of Montreal so the show started late. Wheel's sound was great, and they rocked the stage. Enjoy!

Dang, this track was super sick! I really loved the sound from the drums, and the singer has a fantastic voice, too. The choice to end it after the heavy breakdown was _reaaaaaal_ nice, rather than moving to another chorus and then a shorter breakdown as an outro. I love it when bands shake up the "normal" flow of songs; but then again, i'm a big fan of prog, so that really doesn't mean much.😂 I never heard of these guys before; gonna have to look up more of their work. Love it, Geebz, thanks for all you do!🤙 I'm still here, and keep on rocking!🤘

That bass tone is absolutely mind-glowingly god-level. You have to thank the master Forrester Savell for his expertise on sound engineering. Credit him for the Sound Awake album from Karnivool (and epic sonic masterpiece top to bottom). He did the most recent Caligula's Horse album ... another sonic masterpiece. Everything he touches is gold.

I really like this band, the have some songs that are maybe a few seconds longer than they should but... They rock

WHEEL!!!!

So far I'm definitely way more into the tracks on their Moving Backwards, and Resident Human albums, but that's not to say I don't enjoy these 2 new singles - I do really dig pieces of them. They're a really great band.

@@progperljungman8218 yes, for sure😁 My point is just that imo they even more similar to Karnivool, while Karnivool is definitely heavily insipired by Tool

These guys dive like tool. But they've a dissonance and reverberance that is different. The resonance in what they feel out , at least in this song, is less meaningful to me, but the more the project learns to get our feel about what they output. That might make them an incredible group to listen to.

sorta get some system of a down feelings from this band, first time hearing them. Almost like System and sleep token melded
