Im trying to figure out where to buy this or the Roland VAD-504... Can you describe what the hi-hats are like on the Strata...? And how does it compare with the feel/control of the hi-hat from the Roland VAD-504...? Thanks guys - Either way, im buying a nice e-kit in the coming months... Thanks for any info... :)

Really tricky one to answer without having them side by side, the Strata Prime uses an analog/magnetic system where as the Roland uses a digital sensor system. Roland's system likely has a higher resolution of tonal variance, but whether that translates to a better playing experience is completely subjective. Assuming you're in Australia, you're absolutely welcome to pop by and try them both, we generally have both Roland VAD and Alesis kits setup in store 🙂

Do not buy the Alesis Strata Prime kit. It is the best Alesis has but enough reviewers have pointed out enough flaws I would never buy it. Also for less money from another e-kit brand you can get a much better e-kit. The Strata Prime kit module is the only real good part of the kit. All the pro drummers make this e-kit look and sound fantastic. Watch real reviews like 65DRUMS and find out the true cons and flaws of the kit.

@@Iamadrummer Thanks for the heads up, Ive watched all the vids out so far and the only real possible issue I could see was minor and that is that the hihat could be less floppy. I have owned a TD7 and TD6 back in the day but being a drummer first and a long term synth programming lover ,I love the idea of creating my own kits easily and this seems to tick all the boxes. If you can think of any other ekit I should look at please let me know.

Can you assign splash symbols and effect symbols sounds to the rims instead of rim clicks or cross stick sounds please if someone can answer this question for me I would appreciate it. Thank you.

Turn the guitar down a bit so we can hear the drums

Not enough out puts on that module for this guy .. why degrade the module sound ?

Cymbals sound like garbage....No thanks.
