The "coop" is looking pretty well done. I can tell that you go to great lengths caring for your animals. Nothing beats a dancing cow!! The critics will NEVER BE HAPPY. Because they are perfect and better than everyone.

Yeah, I like that. It’s true dancing cows, lol.
Given how happy both dogs were I’m surprised anyone would think they don’t massively enjoy it
Waste not, want not. And a penny saved is a penny earned. Both apply to saving that tin. My gf is finally starting to see why I save stuff around our homestead. Tyler, you helped me reinforce that notion today. Thanks, bro!
If viewers don't know by now that you are an animal lover...........then they will never get it. Calllie with the chicken/rooster was hilarious!! She's a sweetie. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

I agree!
It’s great getting to see the dogs run. It’s good for them. They need that exercise and plus it makes them tired at night. And an active dog is a happy dog. That’s why Callie is so happy and healthy. Great to get to watch another video. Have a great Christmas.
My border Collie used to run in front of my tractor for three miles between my farms at 20 mph. As he got old he stayed in front of the tractor I just had to drop a gear to accommodate him. He quit going a couple years before he passed, but it was his life for many years. As a dumped dog, I didn't know how old he was. A year ago he died, and believe it or not in August of this year I opened my front door and there sat a border Collie looking for a home. He found it.
Working with reclaimed materials is almost always tough, definitely trading time for money - totally worth it and it looks great!
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if the naysayers just keep their critical minds to themselves! Oh well, they’re minor irritations! You’re doing great FT, absolutely no complaints from all your grateful followers. God’s blessings and Merry Christmas to you all!❤❤❤
Thanks, Tyler Farmer. The dogs look so happy after a run. The chicken coop is looking promising, and I can't wait to see the garden after the hogs are let in for a few weeks. Great farming techniques. See you soon! God bless the Farmer Tyler Ranch family,❤
Chicken and dog wars...very funny! Of course, all that work competed by Farmer Tyler!
So satisfying when you can get a job finished in a relatively short amount of time. New chicken shelter lookin’ good! Cannot believe how much Bellie has grown!
New chicken coop is looking good. Recycling that tin solved two areas…cleaned up the old tin “living” area and closed up the roof!! Free garden clean up by the pigs, can’t ask for much more🤣
Oh contraire! I think it’s great belly is having to run that fast. She has grown so fast it’s fitting to build up her muscles and the bonus that she’ll get tired and not bother Cali so much. Cali is such a stoic dog, I love her. Belly’s so cute I’m getting there too. Thanks for sharing.
I think the roof looks great on the shed. I am not much for the pretty things on the farm I prefer the rough wood look and rusty metal look. I do not know how anyone can look at ALL the videos of livestock I watch and see all the excitement and joy the animals have and show esp around feeding time. To see a 500-700 cow or steer with all four feet off the ground at the same time is something you can't argue with. These animals are living their best life on most farms and are cared for by the farmer and family. I hope y'all have a very merry Christmas. Thank you for all the 2023 videos.
Belly is growing like crazy! GSD’s are working dogs & they do very well when they have a job, they love to run, keeps them fit. I had GSD’s for years, most of mine would run until they were about tripping over their tongue. Then do their animal rounds, make sure everyone was accounted for & didn’t let me out of their sight. Great family & farm dogs!
Tyler, the folded edges look great. Nice job.
Rome wasn't built in a day. Neither are chicken houses. If you put in a few more hours your nesting boxes and roost as well as your man door will all be complete. You should be bery proud. It looks great! Loved watching Callie and the chicken. Bellie is certainly growing. Running is good for the dogs.
PS… Thank you for taking time to answer my question personally about Bellie’s name and who named her❣️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I truly appreciate it taking the time… Whoever it was. I know you’re very busy on the farm.❣️
The new coop will look great when you are done! Good job Tyler!
Rat bait, wheat bread crust and peanut butter to stick it in place works good for me. Bacon grease, belly will be trying to get in trap. Bacon brings me running too! 👋🤠
"It's not pretty but..." Since function is a beauty all its own, you do gorgeous work ⚒. Oh and, if Christmas cookies smelled good to your cats, bacon grease will drive them wild. You just might want to stake that trap down. They love anything with fat in it including cookies!
Bellie is sure growing. Beautiful puppy. Don’t mind the critics. Most of them have no idea what they are being critical of.
I dunno who says what but those are two really happy dogs. 😁
Good Morning, Tyler, Callie and Belly! The Chicken Run! Finishing the Chicken Pen Roof! Great Video! Thank-you! Merry Christmas! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I TOTALLY ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO TYLER 😊
Great exercise for the dogs. I wish I had the room to do that for my dogs.👏👏👏
Hotel Chicken Hilton - love it.
Anyone who regularly follows FTR would KNOW that you would always consider the welfare of all your animals over any other considerations. Tyler, you really shouldn’t even have to comment about that. Bellie is living her best life with your family and Callie. Merry Christmas FTR family and hopes for a prosperous New Year.
I think we all have projects, Tyler, that have hung over our heads for years… In fact, I just found one last week that started in my freshman year of college and I must say that was over 40 years ago. I will just tell you that it was a Art project and a new style of watercolor design. The class was learning, and we had a time limit on each step and on that particular step I got 3/4 of the way done before we begin the next step. I laid it out on my art table so that I could get to it the first week of January and finish it. It’s a beautiful piece and deserves finishing especially since it is a scene down by my parents farm, and they have since passed away and the farm now belongs to someone else. Anyway, congratulations on finishing your project. Job well done !❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️ You are exactly right, about working with older material, being harder to nail into or drill into. I remember finishing off a framed-in basement project, which I did not do for several years after our new house was purchased, and we could hardly hit a nail through those 2” x 6” boards. The boards were just like concrete and we ended up having to pre-drill a pilot hole in order to get the nails to go through. It took three times as long to do that job and we swore we would never procrastinate on a job like that again.!! Pretty cute watching Callie and that hen fighting over the green in the bucket. It was hard to know who really won that fight. Funniest thing I ever saw a hen do! Nellie has sure grown fast!! What a beautiful dog she is turning out to be. I loved it when she put her head on your lap while you were driving😊❤️😊❤️😊❤️😊 By the way, Tyler, I was in Lowe’s last week and they are selling blue buckets that are very sturdy for seven dollars so if you have a Lowe’s nearby you can get them for seven dollars instead of $10. And they are nice size buckets, but I can’t remember what size of gallons the bucket you bought were and that makes a difference. If you’re buying a 10 gallon bucket or 20 gallon bucket you’re not Jeanne anything in price by buying a smaller bucket but I thought I’d let you know. It looked look like nice sized bucket for a good price, as well as being sturdy.
Everything is looking great! Glad you found the motivation to finish off that coop - it always makes for a better day when you can check those things off your list. I’m looking forward to seeing the pigs in the garden and the chickens in their new home. Have a Merry Christmas!!
I would like a train Video on the tracks behind your property. Thanks. Keep up the interesting jobs.
Your dogs are lucky that they get to run free.
How satisfying to cross something off the list! I can’t get over how ravenous the cattle are over the round bales which being from the Midwest look like straw. Merry Christmas from an original long time viewer, always anticipating the next video, thanks!🌲🌲🌲
I really enjoy your videos and watching Callie and Belle getting plenty of exercise, living their best life. Great job repurposing the pieces of tin. I love it when I can repurpose materials saved from previous projects. I just recently built a chicken run and was able to repurpose some tin I had to partially cover the run. I also had some leftover polyrope from a pasture project that I put around the bottom of the run and coop and use my solar powered Intellishock. I use to use that fencing and move it ever so often, but tired of that after 4 years. My run is close to my garden so the chickens will help with composting and bug control. Merry Christmas!!
I have really enjoyed this video! jobs completed and hanging out with my dogs makes for a good day here on the farm too! Loved seeing the blue Dodge
I am inspired to paint an FTR themed mural on the chicken coop 🐣🐤🐥🐔🐓
As far as the new chicken coop, I always say "pretty is as pretty does."
Tyler you are a comedian and you don't even realize it! Your "piece of sheet" comments and the ROOF project that was "hanging over your head" gave me a good laugh! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Another great video, Tyler. I always hate when you’re over. I hope you and your family. Have a wonderful Christmas!! God bless you all I wish you a wonderful 2024.
Awesome vid, I remember you talking about completing the roof a long time ago. Congrats on getting it finished! I see Bellie is getting the side by side her self she is going to be a great dog!
Greetings from Florida! Thank you! Your vids remind me so much of my youth on our Ohio farm. Merry Christmas! and Happy New Year! God bless you and the family!
Great video with a little of everything. Nice watch Tyler..
I like your plan for the chickens. And yes a little weather is going to roll in. And of course the wind will be here whether it rains or not. Thanks for another fine job done or further along
Those dogs sure do get lots of exercise.
Allways good to get one more thing done! Good update FTR!
Merry Christmas Tyler & family!! Keep up the great work!! I look forward to seeing your videos every week!!
See ya next time Mr Tyler👍🏽😃🎉
Good job, the chicken 🐔 billion
Merry Christmas, Callie, Belli, Farmer Tyler and family!
LOL, our chickens rule the roost around here too😂
Great remodel job there and they are quite the pair and dogs like to run !!so all you complainers out there suck it up !!!swimming running chasen stuff that's a dog's life!!! Most everybody I know that had a drop off dog or cat they were the best and most loyal of anything they ever owned and we're the best companions
Nice job 👍. Look Dodge is coming in handy already.😁
If you just catch the cat in there once, they'll leave it alone. Every good farmer has a stack of used tin. At least you and I do. LOL I used some of the aluminum looking tape and some roofing sealant and patched the holes in my used tin. :) I'm sure you've probably already thought of it.
It’s a good roof. I’d sleep under it.
Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas, and a prosperous new year.
Thank you for your videos. I look forward to every single one and watch every single one merry Christmas God bless you and your entire family

This will give the chicken something to brag about 😂👌
Merry Christmas to the FTR family
It’s good for um to run. Probably would do a lot of critics good to do a run too! 😆
Dogs need good exercise! Happy Holidays to you and yours!
Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas and a Happy New year to you and your family thanks for bringing us along :)
Thank you for another great video, I sure enjoyed it. I watched your handsome bull again too, he has a fun personality. Chickens are fun to watch too, especially loose outside. And Callie has already picked out her favorite Chicken to pester I see. I so look forward to seeing Rivet's calves. -- God bless, and Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Great job on the chicken roof it looks amazing. I love watching your dogs run! Moving, playing, jumping, doing what ALL dogs want to be doing. Belli won the doggie lottery when you saved her as a puppy. Another great video. Can’t wait to see the completed chicken run. Merry Christmas 🎁🎄
I grab a handful of chicken feed which I leave on top of the pressure plate in the cage trap. I think a tin container may put the rats off.
Merry Christmas to you an your family
Put a weight (old tractor part)on top of the trap so the cats can't push it back. I'm excited to see if the bacon grease gets you a Rat.
Great video Tyler have a Merry Christmas! God Bless you and your family!
great job on Coop, its a Sad state of affairs when you get comments on dogs being dogs, what is our world coming to. Merry Christmas.
Merry Christmas to you and yours🌲🌲🌲🌲 really enjoy your vids !!
Merry Christmas to you and your family! The hen house needs roosts and nesting boxes to be complete. Good job!
When I was in Viet-Nam it was my job to trap rats. We used live traps similar to the one you are using in your Barn. We were taught that rats don't like to eat in the open. So after baiting the traps we would put them in a trench or against a wall and cover the trap with a piece of plywood. It would lean against the wall of the trench at an angle to the ground and would cover the trap. Of course we didn't have too many cats around. but we caught a lot of rats. If you want to talk to me, about the technique, you could call. I'll give you my number if you ask for it.
Merry Christmas FTR family 🎄
We've got a dog that looks just like Kallie..Callie.. 🤷♂ and we ended up getting her a younger companion as well. We run them both with the 4-wheeler when we make the rounds checking the game cams. We have 90 acers so it's a pretty good run and Maggie (the older one) gets worn out, but Bailey thinks she can run forever... until we get back to the house and she collapses on the floor..lol. They love it and usually end up jumping in the pond and getting nice and soaked too. 🙄
Marry Christmas to you and your family.
Always adding an improvement !! Love Callie and the chickens. Merry Christmas to all !!
Good job, Sir! Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to you and your family
Quick sweet and to the point great video P.S. F the haters
Happy new year
Thank you for the video Merry Christmas
The Hen/Cali King of the Hill Championship! And the winner is...... CALI
Good job ! I liked your dog vs chicken I guess the chicken won.
Your awesome
Hey Gang 👋🇨🇦, Tyler, thank you for sharing with us your adventures on the homestead God's Good Blessings this Christmas to you and your beautiful family keep up the great work love U guys XOXOXO stay safe and healthy **Tyler, your German Shepherd is a pure bred, you should take her to your Veterinarian do a blood test, get her registered, her pups go for 500$-700$ each, I had one just like her, 👍
Chicken run, Nope! it's going to be a Milking shed! LOL
Good job on the roof and enjoying the run with the dogs have a good day .
You are entertaining yourself with the cows. Wow Bellie has grown. She can run good! Looked like she was running faster than 11 mph. Merry Christmas 🎄!
all the best to you and yours take care and be safe
thx
I was always told peanut butter works as good bait for mice and rats. You smear a blob of peanut butter on something.
If them feeder pigs need to go where its cold - it's cold here - send, then on over - they could feed me.
Can you get a can of flex seal to close those holes on the roof of the new coop? Also, if the cats still mess with the trap, cover it & weigh down the edges to discourage them, (plus makes a nice inviting hole for the vermin). Great exercise for the dogs & they love it! I used to run my dogs on a deserted road & when they figured out where we were going, they’d get all excited and couldn’t wait to get out of the car!
The only thing that doesn’t make sense to me with the live trap is the size of openings in the cage looks big enough for the rats to squeeze through. I’ll say it again 55 gallon trash can with 12 inches of water in the bottom and some peanut buttter smeared on the inside of the lid and cut an 1-1.5 inch hole in the lid. If you want to g a safe poison route mix instant potatoes with plaster of Paris and enough water to form little dough balls. This messes up their intestines so the cats can still eat them and be fine
Loved the interaction between Calli and the hen.😊 So good to see roof completed, will that back corner be an issue with rain? May you have a Blessed Christmas🎄🎁🎁🎄
Thanks for sharing farmer tyler ranch I enjoyed the video and I hope you have a great Christmas
Don't worry about overworking the dogs. That is their job and they will stop when they are tired. People need to stop treating animals like humans there needs are not the same.
@13:47, yeah that part of your operations needs to be simplfied...when you get 60 to 70 years old...you won't be doing that....or at least you won't want to risk injury.
