I’d had that 9-13 move beat with 22-18 and attack your double corner in no time. In checkers, you don’t follow what your opponent does, you go on offense and gain the tempo.

Actually they hardly follow your moves (I dont do it) and when they do is because they're beginners with no experience at all

I’m not new but I’m not a master somewhere in the middle, and I’ve never thought about sacrificing 1 or 2 pieces in return for a larger profit of them. Thanks 🙏

@@HenryMcGuinnessGuitar Yes, controlling the center is usually more productive and the way to win. There is a very popular opening defense that takes the sides though that is full of traps, and most beginner/advanced players will walk right into many of the traps because they are trying to 'control the center'. Basically once you have a good feel for the single corner opening, learn the Old 14th.

But it's overall better to go to the Center and take control of the territory. However, at a high level game, going corner in the beginning can actually be setting up a unnoticed trap around mid game.

Sorry, but not only is this a weak opening, it is rated by computers as the absolute weakest possible opening in the game of Checkers. In fact, the second move is just as bad. If you begin this way against a decent opponent you'd need to be an excellent player just to DRAW.

Agreed. g3-h4 is a very weak opening in pool checkers (brazilian draughts) and is at best a draw against a strong opponent that has much knowledge of pool checkers theory.

Actually you miss a score at the last part when you get the check and score the last piece you miss that you can still score at the piece below your move so its not just a tripple kill but its actually quadra kill

He is playing Brazilian Checkers so the move is not illegal. Checkers has many variations.

The setup maybe good to show a basic combination in "pool checkers/brazilian draughts" but only a novice/beginner will play f8-g7 at 3:07
