$2 bills were reissued in 1976.

A co-worker had a short part of the $1 bills & $2 in the 1970's, so when we'd meet for a coffee break at 10AM or 3PM at one of the neighborhood restaurants, he'd ask for a pair of scissors to pay at the cashier's register. He received some funny looks and a few refusals for payment at times. As a numismatist, I knew they could be ordered from the Mint and were very real!

The two dollar bills series go at least to 2003 since I have 20 sequential from the bank

that first one has book ends '92' and '2434' in the middle, that starts that 3 sequential run.

That was a great video. As a new coin collector I had no idea how to contact the bureau of engraving.

Thank you for all the information you provide in all your videos. I have a nickle question. I found a nickle that has true full steps, but it also has full steps on each end of montichello. No one talks about the Little steps on the ends. Is there a term for 3 sets of steps showing?

On the first round of ones that you showed the 3 in the lower left serial number is larger (fatter) than any of the other numbers. I have one like that. Didn’t know if they were actually errors or not.

My mom started a coin collection for myself and my siblings when we were younger. She has since passed on but I just found the coins she had saved for us and I'm wondering... the way she saved them, I actually think she might have ruined them and was wondering what you thought? She taped them onto pieces of paper and wrote the years below each coin. Are they basically worthless now (they have tape residue on them and some are discolored.) thanks!

Very informative, thanks! I have a 1935 $1 silver certificate but the print on the back is blue ink instead of green, do you know anything about it? It's def not faded either the ink is darker than on my regular silver certificates that have the normal green print. If you have any info I'd greatly appreciate it, I'm stumped. I also took it to the bank to make sure it wasn't counterfeit and it is a genuine note! Thanks again!!

i hve a bill that when cut it was kinked on the corner and the corner still has the extra paper on the corner, any ideas if it is worth anything? i have to look for it now can't remember where. oops i have it somewhere

Last time I checked paper money comes from the Bureau of Engraving. Coins come from the mint.

i had the same 1935 silver certificate 1 dollar but it was in very poor condition. very dirty and had three bad fold lines and i had as well a 1927 red 2 dollar bill that was in equal as bad shape. sold em both for ten bucks? did i win or lose? thanks

you need to look at the year,normally located on the bottom right,next to the portrait. unless it's before 1957 nd error free (rips,folds,tears) it's only worth face value

1:30 and they also have 234 in their number

I have 2 of the 76 issue $2 bills myself still crisp but were stamped and canceled by the Washington DC postmaster on July 4 1976.

How to sell I have that money

My dad got 50 bucks in 2 dollar bills. They all counted up by one or whatever you were showing in the beginning in the video. Do you think it was worth keeping or just spending them.

there's a recycling center in California that pays out in crisp 2 dollar bills. they even allowed me to buy 100 worth for me to give my bros kids to. so basing on that... I doubt worth anything but maybe in 100 years.
