I wish I could pluck up courage to travel on my own (being a single lady for 20 yrs)... That Hotel room was immaculate and adequate... And parking, too! Excellent value.

I must admit, over the past 20+ years, there has been a few dives I've stayed in and I've slept with one eye open and with my door barricaded, but I'm more careful now! ❤ x

I think you should have given it a 10 out of 10. The view from your room is fine. And for 24 pounds you cant expect a bar and a bath. I think the Adonis hotel, from what you have presented, is very fair and good value. I would stay there if I was financially struggling. Breakfast looks pretty good to me. Fantastic value hotel. That's a great price. I come over from Oz to the UK every few years. I've stayed in a lot worse. If you're only looking for a bed it's exceptional value.

What a bargain,decent breakfast also included. Nice one!

I have to say you got a real bargain. The room you had and the bathroom looked immaculate. Your bed was very fresh and clean. I congratulate the owners. Anyway I lived in Blackpool for twenty years. I left in 1970. I have been back a few times. Yes it has fallen on hard times, probably because of lack of funds etc. I loved Blackpool, the tower, Winter Gardens, promenades, illuminations. I remember when Bob Hope switched them on. I could go on and on and not to mention the top class shows. Shirley Bassey etc etc etc. You keep going back to this lovely little clean hotel and thanks for the video Bernard. Best wishes Ann in South Australia (aged 80) ps happy memories

We go to Blackpool every year for the Northern soul weekenders and I've always stayed at the Grestham Hotel it's right by the winter Gardens and car park it's always lovely and clean the staff are very nice we don't have breakfast or dinner there As we go to Lowerys it's a lovely cafe all the breakfasts and dinners are very hot we've been going there for years the prices are reasonable. And yes I'd say the price is great for that hotel the Adonis Steve p

I stayed in the same hotel and the same room 😊 Lovely quiet hotel & friendly staff. Would definitely recommend it.

This is why they serve Ambrosia and Nectar at the hotel breakfast bar ( as well as Coco Pops)

I , and the two boys stopped at the lodge B&B in co:op Street just off chapel Street opposite the central pier , 300 yards down , near the bridge . this was August 2020 With one weeks notice a room with a sink television tea and coffee making facilities and a shared toilet down the passageway . including breakfast . £25 for the three of us " for one night all though we stayed for 4 , no shower though that was the only bugbear but I think that's why it was cheap , cash only no card now that is cheap and the room we stayed in was like rising damp the BBC 70s sitcom starring Leonard rossiter but it was cheap and it was just a base and the less money you pay for your accommodation the more money you would have to spend in Blackpool itself . You definitely need to do a review on this B&B

Blackpool is rough, live not far from there and it’s just so neglected and run down…it’s a shame, needs a huge amount spending on it, I don’t think it will ever recover.

for the price that is quite resonable. its a bit impersonal for me, i remember in the 80s going on holidays to blackpool with my mum and dad and brother and sister there used to be landlords that whould help you with stuff like cases and could tell you how to get to places in blackpool. They used to have bars as well so everyone in the hotel whould meetup and have a few drinks and play bingo or have a karaoke. i guess times have changed and people dont want that now.

How does a hotel run out of bacon🤷‍♂️ if you know how many guests you have in

I’d avoid the heywood hotel at all costs,,breakfast looked hanging by the photo, bar only had Steve the managers John smiths in it,the place was filthy,, I found a bed bug and that was that, I had to drive home to Manchester,, ruined my daughters birthday, the hotel you stayed in looked great especially for the money

But the experience of the stay was more important really nice clean room

WHAT a PALACE! and that's compared2 some places I've stayed in and they are still trading now, mind one place I'll not name but in the morning I asked the landlord if the breakfast came with mushrooms ? He said No they didn't have any, I said there was plenty growing on the bottom of our bathroom door. I do hope Blackpool picks up and recovers because it's been in decline for years, I've not personally been back since 2018 and I think my first ever holiday in the Town was back in 1974 when I was 5 - At one stage I'd have 2 or 3 visits per year in the place and lived and worked in the town back in the late 80's All the back streets along with all three piers back in 2018 were a real state and I felt I could no longer spend another break in the place, just wasn't worth it as it wouldn't of felt like going on holiday, pains me saying that but I'm sure the people that look around and of a certain age will fully understand, a few new hotels just isn't enough. Be nice getting another visit maybe in the future IF the place picks up but until then, NAAA! I'll pass.

We live about an hours drive away, so maybe go through the lights once a year, or maybe drive up and down the prom a few times in summer. For me it's a place to behold as unique, certainly not a holiday resort. However thousands do indeed flock their for holidays and love the place.

It is what it says on the tin, My sort of a hotel in and out at £24. Excellent value for pigeon weekend

If your there on the lash it's all that you need clean room bed and a breakfast in the morning then back on the lash

Stayed at Elmo's cost me 25 quid no breakfast but there's a cafe next door that do a fry up for 4.95. place is clean and does the job.👍

Wow! £24, if you come to Northern Ireland for a similar break in similar premises it would cost around £90. You have it good over there in England.

Seriously wouldn't complain at the price, thats pocket change. Lovely bright clean room. I used to work in a 4* we would charge £90+ for a room half that size not in as good condition, plus breakfast. Bargain

Great value. But when I briefly had a B&B, if i had ran out of bacon I'd have been lynched! It's a basic staple of a breakfast. I can only applaud the owners who are struggling to keep their heads above the water. What you don't see is the work they have to do to stay afloat. To all b&b owners, not only in B'pool but everywhere, thank you.

What a bargain if I was in Blackpool for a gig or something, I'd stay there.

Wouldnt stay there myself but at least you didn't have to put a pound in the meter to get the TV to work

It's sad this I can remember a hotel on Hull road Blackpool £15 a night this was 5 years ago recently I visited the hotel it's changed hands £25 a night no hot water terrible £24 very cheap breakfast
