Loving the builds!!! Thank you for the research into good and cost effective tires brother. Looking forward to seeing you get the Mongrel out and about. I'll be praying for warmer weather for you soon.

@@forthebold .... I really like your frame build... it’s looking really nice.
Wow that rear tyre is SO much taller than the old one! It's going to suit the build well I think.

It’s a tricky one. Looks massive but I think it’s the right choice

Hey! Long term review on these tires? Cheers
This tire looks really good. How is the grip on the road now that you've ridden them?

I have tried a bike with these. Awesome.
Thanks for great videos, followed many of your videos for several years. And dreaming of building my own cafe, now I finally decided to do this with a Suzuki GS1000G. My plan is to keep the original rims but change the tyres. I really like the ones you mention in the video, but I can’t figure out how the profile is defined for these tyres? 5 inch width, but what’s about the profile, how do I find out the profile? I’ve tried to google around but couldn’t find an answer. Very appreciated if you have the possibility to answer my question. Br Samuel from Sweden

I’d say they’re probably 100% height of what the diameter is.
You can install tires without tire irons. Look up some videos. It works great. Although not sure about a tubed tire. Maybe. The process is real easy and it doesnt scratch up the rims. Not the the Mongrel would care.
@forthebold

I wouldn’t know how to without the irons tbh.
You might have to extend the centre stand, ask me how I know when putting taller tyres on :)
@forthebold

No centre stand on this bike. Paddock stand only
Thank you for your video, that helps me a lots. My front rim is 19 and rear is 16, but I want to build the cafe racer style,so I plan to buy the 500-16 and 400-19 . Do you think it looks roughly the same?
@forthebold

I would say it’s the same nearly.

Honestly not sure. They’re all stock height so might be forums out there?
So I’m new to motorcycle tires and I was gifted a 1981 GS550 and it says the rear tire is a 4.24-17. And I can’t really find a tire that fits that. I am not sure if I am just reading it wrong or what?
@forthebold
Жыл бұрын
4.24 is just like a 120 would do
I want to but this but unsure of they work well. Any feedback after using it?

I am using that tire on my brat-bobber bike. It is a good tire but I don't recommend it for racing and corner. Although you may lessen the tire pressure in order to be able to do a cornering or banking in other term.
does it make your bike higher when you use that kind of size of tyre?

Are they made in China or UK ?
Does the tyre have the grip bro?

I wouldn’t recommend them
I can say from experience... If you plan on staying upright around corners then these are not a good idea. Love the look but they are lethal!
@forthebold
3 жыл бұрын
The bike is even more lethal than the tyres. Only designed to go straight
I see a lot of “cool” bikes with these shity tyres , w&w sell the baya 100 , they are modern with good rubber and good for 190 km/h so safe for every caferacer and fun to ride
@forthebold
Жыл бұрын
I wouldn’t recommend them myself. Not for proper riding.
I have these. They are of crap quality. They don't bed in correctly. The rim is straight, but the tyre wobbles... I don't know if the FIRESTONE DELUXE CHAMPIONS suffer as well. AVOID.
You just bought two tubes and decided to it a video about? 🤦♂️🤦♂️
