My buddy found a screaming cheap deal on a Yamaha TTR250 with a dual sport kit and a license plate, but it wasn't running. Let's go through it and see what it takes to get it going.

It turned out pretty good for the money spent on it. Still have a few things to fix, but it's a great trail bike now. Thanks for watching.

Should be a great trail machine. Gonna do a small bike trip to Big Bear soon.

This bike belongs to a friend of mine. He is always talking about big rides on small bikes. We might do something with it before he passes it on to someone else. AZBDR, maybe??

"an online ad" market place of facebook you mean. just picked one of these ttr 250s up. had an xt 225 and thought its was the same the 250 i guess not. need to still test it out to see if it actually has more power

The 250 probably has a bit more power, not sure how much it would be noticeable? Now you have me curious to see if the specs are available.

@@TomsTinkeringandAdventures please do a vidi on it...in part i owe my existence to IHC...Dad was top med-heavy duty salesman and in the driveway was a re-designed/fab 65 Scout w/302, and next to it was a 75 Travelall. The old man also rode a Honda 750four, and then an 85 Goldwing LTD...Saw your Goldwing.....Cheers

Hey need some help fellas , just bought a good 2002 yesterday and im trying to locate the air filter to change if need be. Can anyone help?

It’s under the right side cover. There’s a rubber strap that holds the cover on the air box. The air filter will slide out.
Gas wasn’t on when u we’re trying it

It had fuel in the line and carburetor. Probably had it in the off position because it was overflowing out the bowl.
how did you take the seat cover off?

It’s been a while since I’ve worked on this, but I think the seat mount bolts are underneath. Right above the back wheel.

Yes, because fuel was overflowing from the carburetor. There was fuel in the bowl, a motorcycle will run at least 30 seconds on that fuel.
I’d trade you a running ttr225! Lmk!
