Next time you test grenades, can you put down a black fabric and hang fabrics blocking the background also so we can see the spread of the white BB’s a lot better. It’s hard to see it with white concrete in the background while blending in with the BB’s.

Thunder B’s are scary as hell. I’ve seen 2 accidents with them where 1 guy missed the window to a 2-story building, picked it up to throw it again, and had it go off in his hand. It tore his glove apart and his hand was hurting bad enough he ended up leaving for the day. Saw him again another time and heard from him that nothing broke but his hand was sore for several days. 2nd guy had one go off in a mag pouch and completely destroyed it. The field ended up adding to their safety brief telling people not to pick up thrown grenades for awhile if they didn’t go off properly.

This video doesn't cover what are considered 'paper' airsoft grenades AKA pyrotechnics. Not sure about rules/laws in the US but in the UK you're able to buy pyrotechnics anywhere from £2.50 to £10 which are single use grenades. Most are friction striker fired (think lighting a match) but some more expensive types come with the pin/spoon arrangement that actual grenades have. We even have 'multi-bangs' which explode 3 times in series from a single grenade and thermobaric grenades which give off huge white flashes. This video also doesn't include any BFG (blank firing grenades) which are great fun when the field allows them.

It is generally the 40-mike that is banned everywhere rather than the mastermike, mastermikes were designed to be a lot tamer than the 40-mike so they could be used everywhere as the 40-mike was insane and everywhere was banning it. As for the rubber frag, wouldnt lobbing a GOLF BALL into the room while shouting 'frag out' be even better?

correction to somthing Wag has said, Sound grenades at most fields get elims, 15 feet radious you are out (thats the standard from all the fields ive seen) but once you add BBs to it, they become "Hit by a bb and youre out" rather than the radius

At the field I usually play at all grenades have 10 foot kill radius, but they have to do something to indicate that they've detonated. The spring grenades are allowed but a lot of players will ignore them, and if a ref doesn't actually see it nothing usually happens. Plus they have a pretty decent chance of not springing open on impact, especially if improperly tightened or if they land on something soft like grass. I used to bring a couple spring grenades because I was too cheap for Thunder B's, but I only ever used them when someone brought a shield (which was also allowed... for some reason...)

So as a grenadier myself, the problem I find when it comes to grenades falls into three distinct categories, the first one are the cheap $15 spring grenades which, not going to lie are absolutely fantastic, whilst it is easy to look down on them, the fact of the matter is that for their price, they’re actually extremely useful and effective especially when you’re dealing with say a small group of enemies hiding in a confined space or room where depending on the field your playing at is an automatic 5m kill zone effectively killing anyone in a 5m area, as well as spraying 1 meter area with pellets, not only that but because they’re only $15 each it’s not really that big of an investment loss if you loose one or if it breaks and they’re pretty easy to fix or repair if damaged or lost, that being said they’re the weakest out of the other alternatives and are well pretty pathetic to say the absolute least, but again In a CQB environment where an enemy is behind a corner and you can’t poke or is hiding behind a barrier a meter in front of you then they’re an absolute necessity, not only that but because they’re spring it means that they can be used just about anywhere even outside where most other grenades are banned and they're extremly quiet so they dont violate any noise regulations and again can be used indoors or outdoors regardless. the next option falls into two distinct categories but all use the same method CO2, the first one is your standard CO2 thunder grenade used primarily as flash bangs or concussion grenades, they can be multi purpose being able to be used as flash bangs and fragmentation grenades, that being said they are the most expensive grenades out there despite being reusable and that only limited to their metal core, the additional costs of both the CO2 canisters and the body shells comes separately which a canister ranging from £1(2$) to a pack of ten for £10-20($20-30) per pakc of Co2 whilst a pack of shells may costs you extra of about £20-30()30-40) for a pack of ten extra shells, that being said they have a much wider blast radius and can be used just about anywhere, that being said if you loose one then its a real pain in the ass and is about fifty quid down the drain, the other option is the impact or spray grenade which as the name implies sprays BB's over a wider field of area 360• but whilst they do use a propane can or black gas again theyre much cheaper than their CO2 counterparts but again are very expensive and can be easily stolen or very easily lost, making them a better alternative to the spring grenade being more effective but unless you're playing in an enclosed and relatively clean and open environment then they would be the better alternative to the springers, such as indoors or an outdoors arena, but do be weary of people nicking it. lastly are the pyros, using explosives much like a firecracker, they are the most satisfying grenades out of the lot and are by far one of the most effective, possessing the highest area of effect and bang for your buck, they are unfortunately both very expensive and are single use items, meaning that whilst they may be cheaper than the CO2's and even the springers being about £10($10 each give or take but again they are single usw disposable items meaning that if you want to buy them in bulk for multiple uses then they can get even more expensive, not to mention that some sights might not even allow pyros to begin with and not many people like having a firework go off in their faces and they're very loud.
