Recorded from the audience at the Calderone Concert Hall, a small theater located in Hempstead, NY on April 7, 1980
This was a small theater. Luckily I was able to sneak in a tape recorder and an 8mm movie camera. I got caught with the camera. They almost threw me out but they removed the batteries from it. I then had to switch the batteries from the camera to the tape recorder and so some of the audio is missing.
The sound is rough but it is better than not having it at all. The cassette would not play so I had to transplant the tape to a new cassette shell. The end of side one (Ain't That A Shame cuts off because the tape is baked into one clump of tape so I lost the last minute or so. When I turned it over, of course I lost the beginning of that side as it was the same frozen section of tape. This tape was deteriorating fast so it is good I finally got around to digitizing it before it was lost forever.
