The best thing about this video for me... is how much fun they were having playing this stellar performance... you see it in their eyes, and in their smiles... they were "killin' it" and having a blast while doing so... doesn't get much better than that for a touring rock band...

Have never, ever seen Robin look like he is having as much fun as he is having in this. He seems to just be having the time of his life up there. he also seems really in tune to the audience.
Awesome remake of "The Move" classic.

Written by one of the best of the 60s and 70s music. SIR ROY WOOD.
The magnetism of Robin Zander, the charisma of Rick Nielsen ... and the tunes!
In 1979...everyone was going disco. The Stones went disco with "Emotional Rescue." Kiss went disco with "I was made for Lovin' You." Hell they even tried to take the Beatles to disco with the Bee Gees and the "Sgt Peppers" movie. Everyone went disco EXCEPT for Cheap Trick who kept on rockin'.

New Years Eve 1979, Los Angeles, The Fabulous Forum, 2nd row, front and center. One of the very best shows I saw in the 70's. You'd hear something on the radio, you'd get the record, and a lot of times it was hit and miss when performed live in your face. Not these guys. SOLID EVERY TIME.
I was born and raised in California and consider this my own personal theme song. Thank you Cheap Trick. Rock on boys!

I always thought Robin Zander was a man of a million voices...plus he has a son and a daughter both named Robin Zander and he's stayed married to a Playboy Playmate for right at 30 years.... he's basically a super-hero without the cape.
Knocks me out how Robin sings like that while effortlessly playing rhythm guitar right in the pocket

Pure kickass music, as I fondly remember it!👌👍🏻
You either loved them or hated them. They were divisive. I saw them for the first time at Kiel Opera House in St. Louis in 1978 (3500 seats...maybe...first concert without my mother). Ken Burns should do a documentary on them!
Seriously underrated....

Grew up not too far from Rockford, Ill. . Greatest group of all time (IMO). Rick is one of the greatest guitarist, Robin's vocals are awesome, Tom is a Master on the bass, and Bun E is such an underrated drummer Only music I listened to in highschool and 40+ years later still my preferred music to listen to.

Imo, THE best live rock album. All the great parties, early 80's used to play this. Saw them in London 5/6 times. Intro...'Epic recording artists Cheap Trick', followed by Hello There...emblazoned in my mind forever.
One of the best, hands down, rock m roll symphonies of all time.

Celebrity theater Phoenix AZ? I was there too! I believe that was in the round too. Only time I went to a show there. Ushers were @$$#0!e$. Show was great as usual. Saw them 2 years earlier in a community college theater with only 100 or so people. It was Illinois and way below zero. They did two shows. Stayed for both. Got some picks and a harmonica that Bun E. used during a solo break from the kit. Haven't seen them since the 25th anniversary show in Rockford. My hearing probably can't take it anymore.
The best ❤❤
