Hi. Just found your channel a week or so ago and love your work. I have just got my first large format resin printer, a Saturn 8k, (not the Saturn 2). I ordered some of this resin before I found this video and am also very impressed by it. The printer is currently printing overnight the base for Black Widow by VX Labs. I have already done the head and smaller items and am planning on printing the legs and torso tomorrow, then I can begin assembly. I am blown away by the quality of the printing. I used to think my old resin printer was good. Being in the UK if I use you Amazon affiliate link do you still get a small kick back. If so I'll use it next time I need resin. Keep up the good work. Best wishes, Mark

I love the sunlu white and grey. The grey looks like sculptors clay rather than grey/blue plastic of Anycubic. Very good price. I find the white needs to be under exposed a little compared to the grey - not by much.

Thanks! I'd like to see more DLP also, but I think it's gonna be a while. I'd like to see companies actually test the machines rather than send it to "influencers" who never review it like they did the Emake. That was a disaster! Changing screens is really simple. I don't have to do it often though.

Hey! glad I found this video.. maybe you can help me out.. I just bought the GKTWO and got it yesterday in the mail. I've seen a bunch of people reviewing this printer with nothing but great things to say about it, which is what made me choose to buy it. I also bought some bottles of Sunlu resin to try out. After I got the printer set up, I sliced some models with the default GKTWO profile in Chitubox. The print was much smaller than your 8 hour print on your video, but it took almost 14 hours to print... I left it over night, came back to check on it in the morning and it had failed. I cleaned up the vat and build plate, releveled the build plate and tried an even smaller print that said it was going to take 12 hours... it also failed. After cleaning the vat again, I tried a very simple flat tile print that I know would only take 20-30 minutes tops on my Saturn, but it said it was going to take almost 3 hours.. it also failed... I've been pretty frustrated with this printer, since every video I watched said it worked right out of the box with no effort. Is there a specific profile I should try using with the slicer? I've tried downloading the Uniformation slicer off their website to try that out, but when I try to open the installer it gives me an error and wont let me install... needless to say, I'm pretty bummed out, I had high hopes for this printer but have been running into nothing but problems so far... any suggestions you've got would be very much appreciated.. thanks!!

I switched from siraya tech fast to sunlu not long ago. Holy crap, I'm basically saving HALF of what I was spending for resin that seems good enough to me. The biggest difference I could tell is siraya tech prints more easily, like I notice I can use a minimum amount of supports with it. But sunlu, I gotta go crazy with supports. I noticed the mixing the abs-like resin made it more akin to siraya tech's quality. Great stuff.

(setting wise). so i dedicated one corner of my DND Room for the printer, far away from my computer. but i might buy a closed from IKEA (The white modular one). its deeper then normal in space, so i just put it inside with a big placemat under the printer. and just put the wires neatly around to the box. (the one with 4x plugslots, dont know the name, not an native speaker). put a long cable to the closest possible wall outlet en start printring! however i might put a hook on the backside to roll the cable on it after finished printing.

At this point, the internal heating really does need to be a standard feature for the next generation of resin printers. It's really a no-brainer. Speaking of next gen, I saw elsewhere ( I believe that Fauxhammer may have put out the video reporting this) that someone in China leaked news that Elegoo is looking to put out a DLP printer that confusingly is labeled as the Mars 4, despite the different UV exposure technology. Is this something you've heard anything about?

In comparison, it's very easy to find real-world examples on KZread, FB groups, Reddit, etc. showing the printing time on the Saturn 4 Ultra (50 mm/h @ 50 microns average with a standard resin) which is a 3D printer so new that many people who pre-ordered it still haven't received it yet!

The fact you mentioned it has a glass screen was a big deal to me. Replacing those screens because of damage from the solid pieces getting pressed into it is a real issue, especially at some $200 per screen. Could you do some accuracy tests on this machine with some generic resins? Seems to be the thing missing on so many reviews is simple x-y measurements with calipers and how far off it is from desired values.

@@TheCreativeCollector Lets see, the build platform is very similar. The resin tray uses a slide mechanism similar to the form 2. Even the screen front and start button look similar. The whole structure looks similar as well. I realize the printing methods are different, the printing size is different. But the similarities are there.

The Uniformation has a vat heater and internal file storage with a completely different UV light source as well as the carbon filtration system, so no it's nothing compared to the Form 2. Looks maybe, but printing components its a lot different. I had the Form 2 and it's way different.

@@TheCreativeCollector The form 2 also has a vat heater (it won't start printing until the right temp. is reached) and also has internal file storage. The form does not have carbon filtration (wish it did). And I already recognized the different printing styles. If you compare the build plates you'll even see more similarities. Aluminum plate, plastic shroud. And I you look you'll even see a drip tray going around both of the build plates. So, they are similar. Never said they were the same. Also a big difference is more moving parts for the form 2. An automated moving tray and a scraper.
