Evil pro tip: Make the weird-but-fair dice unfair again by using volume modifiers to print denser infill on one side! Then you can show your victims the first part of this video to prove how fair they are.

"look at the photo and assemble it the same bro" needs to become the most cherished piece of maker meme culture.
That lamp honestly hits my biggest pet peeves in 3d printing. I don't need everything to be as well written as the Prusa assembly instructions, but dangit I want to at least know I have the right number of parts.

Also printing parts that should have been laser cut. I see so many people wanting to print things that are just flat pieces with some holes in them that take no advantage whatsoever of the capabilities of 3D printing and are just strictly worse than some laser cut plywood.

I've got buddies deployed in Iraq. To show them how much I don't care, I used to send them UN-care packages loaded with whatever my hand touched first at the thrift store. Popular items included but were not limited to an oil filter for a '92 Toyota Camry and one rollerblade. But this is downright diabolical. 3D printing never seemed more important. I love it. I love this. And I love you. xoxo

It helps he actually made the things, and shows real videos of the part. So much better than if I made a video like "top 10 annoying 3d prints" and only showed the download pages for each model. Which, like, he did that too, but there are tons of cuts back to him, to the CAD software, to real life footage, and so on. It is a good video and I didn't know about most of these 3d models

Always a yes to non silly and full silly projects, I do love theoretically practical stuff
Just thanks Zach thank you for all you do so many of us appreciate you and your method more than you know sir. You are my Yoda of 3d printing, good job sir and thank you.
Happy for you to do silly projects as long as you don't make it the only thing. I love your videos and the usable things you create.
".. And I am now wondering whether there is a way to put the filament back on the spool." About halfway through the video and I'd love to see what your latest take on this is in video format. CNC Kitchen has been making videos on the subject of 3D print/filament recycling for a while now and it is starting to look closer and closer to a reality for hobbyists. The main challenge I've been thinking about overcoming in DIY fashion is filament waste and 3D print destruction. Who has money for an industrial hard drive shredder?
I been in some dark places the last few months. Your videos always help me feel better. Thank you for what you do.
These are awesome! Thanks for sharing. Your supporters have some great names. I think it is great when people read off the supporter names.
I'm a big fan of practical projects! You're great at them, and the world needs more.
I'm surprised at the question, Zack. I figured the whole Voidstar vibe was making something practical, but turning the aesthetic up to 11 and seeing if it still works.
If you wanna do silly stuff bring it to us! But don't let us dictate what you make! Do what keeps you happy! That's what keeps us happy! Happy new year bro! Thanks for all the genuine content!
my 2 cents: silly projects are fun but often (at least, in my experience) plastic waste in the end. Imo, practicality persistently prevails. Btw that QED line was gold
Hi Zach, Leonardo from Brazil 🇧🇷! Thanks for your job. Everything was important for my development in this area! You are very talented 👏🏻
I love practical projects, and I love seeing silly projects. You gotta have fun sometimes! Thanks for sharing
Idk if you'll see this but you really helped my husband with 3d printing and your videos are the ONLY 3d printing videos I like. We love the technical and the silly! You're just great and we're so happy to watch your channel.
Zack you are a gift to this beautiful world
I really like the practical projects, like gridfinity, and your smart gridfinity thing. Some silly projects are cool, but i mostly watch this channel for interesting and usefull projects that are presented very funny.
I just got a 3d printer because of you and it's so much fun! Thank you for many ideas I've made a reality❤
new year, new Zack vid ❤
My face was in the smiling mode for the full 22:18, Even the Brilliance commercial was fun and cleverly edited. Thanks Zack & Brooke. Well done 🙂
Making a mold from the tooth cup print and then casting in a food safe resin or something might be fun.
Zack is a literal tech junkie hero. I can not fully verbalize how much I enjoyed this video! Keep with the killer content (looking at you tactical-beer-thing).

Been there. I started other hobbies that I could include 3d printing. Like tabletop games and small woodworking-3d prints-IoT mixes. I also let friends and strangers ask for small prints for free and if they want large prints and many of them, I ask them to just buy the filament/resin for me. This keeps my printer in use. Edit: but if you don't want it. Donate it to a school, charity school, family or friend. It would be a good gift and learning experience for someone else.
I swear your sales pitches for free 3D files are beyond impressive and incredibly creative!
i JUST bought my first 3D printer today.. truly feels meant to be with Zack posting this video!! Thank you so much brother!! Looking forward to eventually printing some of these

HAPPY NEW YEAR ZACK
I can never decide what is more entertaining; your commentary or the stuff you print😂 Again an awesome video.
I think making sillier projects introduces more opportunities to be creative, so I would definitely like to see more silly projects.
FDM fan here that got a resin printer for xmas. Buying all the extra safety stuff alone is like one of those gag gifts. As far as projects, just do what you want. Your joy from making something is more interesting than "funky lol project 42069 made for lulz". If that brings you joy and it shows in the video go for it.
@Francois_Dupont

what safety stuff do you need? gloves and a container to rinse stuff?
@bladelaw
4 ай бұрын
@@Francois_Dupont respirator/mask, cleaning solution, gloves, dedicated trash bin to prevent cross contamination, safety glasses. Then the nice to have extras like a flex plate, wash and cure, silicone mat(s), etc. Not a problem, just a bunch of extras that are nice to have to make the most of the printer that also bump the entry fee into resin printing by a bit.
New to your channel; I don't usually watch top 10 style lists but I was giggling the whole way through this video. Good content my dude, you best believe I'll be back for more
Thanks for adding the renaissance light switch cover.
Yes, make silly projects.
I might be alone here but I’d prefer no silly projects. There plenty of KZreadrs that do that and I love you’re current style of projects
Dude love your videos. Your Awesome! I like the theoretical usefulness of your projects. But you know, have fun!
I think a few "fun/silly" Projects every now and then would be really great to watch and certainly it might inspire an actual functional good idea that somebody might one day design!
Would love to see some sillier videos, as long as they are mechanically interesting. Also, that lamp in the last one was definitely a laser cut wood construction at some point, that's why the design is that way, so it's probably not some created with the permission of the original designer.

I'm terrified of what you can create when not limited by the concept of "practicality" so yes more silly projects please! especially if an episode of doodads can give you the time necessary to fully research and create more ambitious projects
