Now, Haiboxing is a hobby grade rc vehicle company, and Wltoys is a chinese children's toy brand. Suspension: The haiboxing has oil filled aluminum shocks, and the wltoys has plastic shocks. Speed: The haiboxing goes about 36kmh and the wltoys goes about 40kmh. Accuracy: I have both rc cars and the haiboxing is more accurate and heavier. The wltoys likes to bounce alot in high jumps which can go out of control. How strong: now I jumped both rc trucks down my house roof which is about 60 to 70 ft above ground. The haiboxing was fine. Just the rubber piece got dislocated. The wltoys, well both suspensions on the front completley broke. Controller: the wltoy's controller is more high quality, but the haiboxing is more lighter. Price: the haiboxing is 98$ and the wltoys is somewhere around 70$. I hope this helped you to decide what to buy thanks!

The WLtoys 12428 is definetly not a childrens toy, and is 100% hobby grade. Have you seen any of the upgrades available for the 12428? Ive upgraded mine to a brushless 3s system (had to customize a battery tray) with all metal gears and driveshaft, oil filled shocks and larger, wider tires. Now it has nothing on my TRX4's but its still a fun little hobby grade RC. I also have both the HBX and the WLtoys and my WLtoys came stock with way more quality parts than the HBX. Not trying to be a weiner but your post is very misleading to people looking to buy or get in on the ground level of RC.

I mean...the name of the video is "cheap vs cheap". They are both cheap RCs but to say one or the other is made strictly for children is misleading. I sure as hell wouldn't let a child play with my WLtoys, same as I wouldnt let one play with any of my Traxxas, Redcats or Axial.

I bought the 12428 yesterday and I did not expect it to be that good, best rc car for 70€ or under!

I brought a wltoys 12428 just over a year ago and have upgraded to oil filled shocks , aluminum linkages , bead lock rims with rock crawler tires , metal gears , 3800kv brushless motor with a 35 amp ESC . The only weak spot now is the rear drive shaft which I have broken many . If you want to use a larger battery little modification of the tray is required as I have a 4000mah 2s . Also I have the wltoys 12628 6×6 with a 3800kv brushless motor and 80 amp ESC . Love the videos and hello from down under .

So glad that i made the right choice! I bought my 12428 because of your previous vids. Im even happier after discovering that mine has metal diff gears of the box :D. That saved me like $10. More power to u, kevin.

Great video kev. Got one coming now. It’s cheap and looks like fun. I think it’s a great platform to try new things. Like your ear plug diff. If it gets messed up it easy to fix. Great job on the tech support and the live action. Learning a lot.

The WL 12428 is badass I got one I’m gonna buy another one totally impressed I had a redcat epx this little thing stomps it I need some suspension up grades on my WL but other then that it’s crazy

I have my wltoys with the fpv gears as well. My kids enjoy driving it like being inside the vehicle. Its now up for a brushless upgrade!

I bought the WL Toys buggy last year based on your recommendation. It's a fun inexpensive toy, the lights are a nice touch. The only draw back was run time when you run full out. A larger battery would be great.

Fill an X-maxx driveshaft with JB Weld and see if it stops it from bending.

I think the 2 speed transmission is a disadvantage it's more weight and more things that could break.

What is the biggest size of battery do you can fit in it

Erik M. I ordered online from Shopee. I think u'd get one if u buy the latest. It has new box without transparent plastic and it says 35kph instead of 50. They're even morr honest now :D

Buy transmitter and a receiver my friend, i recommend the flysky receiver. Also change it to brushless 3900kv that could be powered by 2s or 3s . It improves your cars performance and could go 68kph Hope that helps.

Ive always liked the wl toys rc... i think the performance and price decides the better car.

I like the wltoys!!! Upgrading the shocks and it's good!

Dude get the senton and this is from a traxxas guy lol the senton smashes the slash for half the price and you won't break anything, you buy a Slash you will break something first time out.

Ohh, you forgot the difference of parts. I know the HBX has oil shocks, full ball bearings and metal gears.

hi kev ! i have a question for you ! : i just bought the 10428b blue and i like the remote controller (digital), but how could i use this remote controller with the hobbyking desert fox , do i only have to change the receiver and bind it or change the whole thing , esc , motor , receiver . thanks kev

Adam F badlands and stock, the heavier you go, there’s more damage off of nasty jump landings. Wouldn’t buy trenchers as there really heavy and the badlands don’t balloon, stock still balloon, but are lightweight and don’t cause nearly no damage off jumps.

I was just about to buy the wltoys one but I just realized I’ll just be buying a cheaper version of My vaterra twin hammers, so I’d rather just put the money in the twin hammers if that makes any sense.
