Cheap Houses In Canada | Financial Freedom + Getting Time Back

Cheap houses in Canada. We found a way to create more time for the things we love by moving across the country to somewhere that we don't have to pay an arm and a leg for just to live. There are more affordable places to live than in Southern Ontario-we decided on New Brunswick!

    Welcome to Saint John guys!! I have been following your vlogs over the past 2 weeks and find them very real and the 2 of you have warmth in your videos. I moved from India 3 years ago and wanted to move to Toronto just like any other immigrant. However, happened to move to Saint John coz I got a really good banking job here which supports the fisheries business. Though I wanted to leave Saint John initially coz I thought it was slow and I did not know anyone, it was also hard to make friends. However, considering I want to achieve financial freedom in the next 7 years, I think I am going to stay put in Saint John and visit Toronto for a holiday and enjoy the good food and activities rather than move there and be part of the rat race. Also, I have made a good set of friends here. Your videos helped me get that clarity. Thank you and all the best to your family towards this new adventure that you guys have started.

    I just stay in the minor division of hockey from peewee up to midget AA. I chose this level due to the travel factor. I firmly believe we have to start from the younger referees to get them to a level to move on. I think you should do a segment on your hockey career, we don’t hear much about European hockey. We have a lot of hockey fans in our city. So glad for you and your family that you are enjoying the city and you would like to call it home. Looking forward to your next posting. 👍👍

I live in Hamilton Ontario and My dream is to move to New Brunswick near the Atlantic Ocean but I’m still a little scared about not being able to sustain my family needs because of the job situation their. I’m a motion graphic designer/illustrator. would you say that this is a field that can be in demand in Saint John?

    Hi there, I moved from Toronto to Fredericton new brunswick. I work in cyber security industries. In Fredericton and Moncton need lots of engineering IT ,system analyst or call centre. So not too bad if u wanna make it living. Currently our living cost except food is 1500. We have 1 car and 2bedrooms apartment. If you worry, there are houses like you can rent basement and live upstairs. For this way, you won't even pay much mortgage.

    Nice to see young families come to New Brunswick! You are the future!! We are retired and moved here from the London Ontario area. We came on vacation and went home and bought a home in the northwest region on New Brunswick. Like you we moved for practical reasons - more land, a newer home, a less stressful way of life and retirement for me, and a little bit of a financial cushion for our retirement years. Our neighbours have been welcoming, but I must say many are from Ontario, including six Amish families from the Owen Sound area.

    Well Done Guys!. Over the past 7 months, I've been in communication with a realtor out of Saint John, specifically looking for multi-family homes under $150k, tri-plex or four-plex mostly. With automatic emails sending the listings here to Toronto. What have you learned about the culture shock of moving from ON?

  • @atribecalledowens

    @atribecalledowens

    3 жыл бұрын

    Yes! There are so many multi-family homes out here. It's something we considered as well. At these prices, it's an amazing investment! Well, to be honest, things took a turn over here as soon as we moved so we haven't explored like we would have if there wasn't covid restrictions. From what we have experienced, we're loving it! We will always have a place in our hearts for the city of Toronto (and may even move back someday) but it's really refreshing to be surrounded by so much nature in NB! Good luck with your search :)

    It's really really sad that in Canada, of all places, we can't afford a roof over our heads. It's really really sad that you have to move out of where you grew up just to survive. I'm in the save boat. Not a life. You are right, it doesn't make sense at all. We should work to live. All the best to you both, and Irie.

    This is a cool channel. I just came across this, because I am going to doing the same thing. I have a house to sell, North of Toronto, and will also be able to buy a house in NB and have no mortgage. That is my “main” goal too! I’ve never gone out of Ontario. Can you answer this? Do I need to have any special papers to move to another province? I was born and raised in Ontario. This may be a dumb question, but do they require anything “passport” type of papers, and that type of thing?
