Rechargeable Battery Heated Gloves review/comparison: Milwaukee Leather, RoyalRose, MATKAO, Dr. Warm, Snow Deer, SabotHeat, Lyshion, Hompress, MRAWARM, Krosa, Unigear, MADETEC, Ororo, Savior Heat, Action Heat, Ceapro (unheated). Heated gloves compared for the ability to create heat, retain heat without air movement across the gloves, retain heat when experiencing external air movement, ability to grip, size or puffiness, weight, battery life on the highest heat setting, and price. I bought all the gloves and glove liners to ensure an unbiased review. So, thanks for supporting the channel.

Looked to see this comment while watching the first test & he keeps stating the back of the hand isn't very good - your point stated exactly why it doesn't matter. The fingers are what matters, if they're getting warm that's all that matters as the rest of the hand will be warmer in comparison anyway. Once the fingers warm up with these gloves they have done their job. If he'd had aluminium blocks that reached into the finger tips but stil measured the temperature at the back of the hand the conductivity would of evened out the heat better all round - similar to reality. EDIT:- 2nd test looks better in showing temperature spread especially as it cools down, the palm retains heat much better as expected thus needing the heating elements in the fingers👍

Lockpickinglawyer is a much better source for testing locks. In general, for secure bike locks you need disc detainer core (the keys have half moon shapes or angular cuts) and 12mm+ shackle. Anything else is not a viable lock. Picking a disc detainer core is still possible, but it requires exponentially higher skill level and specialized tools. Anything with the Master Lock branding is a lock shaped object that can be opened in a few seconds.

I've never had frostbite, but I've got my hands so cold so many times, they get cold easy now. This test is perfect. I do need heated gloves, and this will help me NOT waste a bunch of money for nothing (unlike my CanadianTire heated car seat cushions that lasted a whole 5 weeks). Thanks for the very thorough tests! Very creative thinking with all your tests you do.

It would be cool to see a comparison on mini fridges with a separate freezer. I live off grid and power consumption is a huge factor for me. Also cooling capacity and the ability to retain the cold while not running. I see a bunch online for pretty cheap but are they worth it? As always can't praise you enough! Part 2 can include reports from all of us buying SabotHeat gloves today...
The SabotHeat gloves were as low as $40 before this video dropped. Now they are up to $70. The only reason I noticed this is because I have Honey installed and it showed price changes over the last 120 days. It seems that these gloves hover around the $70 mark. The Hompress are now $50, but have been as high as $90. Now the Hompress seems a great bang for buck, whereas at the time of the videos production the SabotHeat was best bag for buck. It may be worth noting the dates of when the items were purchased or that prices are not always the same at the time of production versus release? Prices appear to fluctuate frequently on Amazon it seems.

Looks like they are currently (as of 1/24/2023) unavailable at Amazon and the Sabot website has only medium sized gloves (and apparently no way to actually purchase them from the website).

I've noticed that happen with other "best reviewed" products, such as LED headlight bulbs. And as for price fluctuation... If you know anything about marketing, the purchase price of a product depends VERY LITTLE on the actual cost of materials and workmanship and ALWAYS follows offer and demand and what people are ready to pay for a product (whether it is justified by practical matters such as here or simply because of a name like is often the case with fashion)

Yep there was a $10 coupon! I was in the market for heated gloves and great timing on the video, was able to pick up a pair. Few rounds of snowblowing this weekend in the midwest and the Sabot gloves performed great! At high 20s the 2nd from lowest heat setting was plenty, could of even done lowest.
Purchased the Zabot gloves because of this review and they are AWESOME!!! Had avoided buying heated gloves out of fear of disappointment and the cost. I got them on sale for $40!!

Love the glove part of the testing. For the glove liners, should have tested them inside a non-heated glove. They are intended to be used inside gloves, so they aren't made to have much insulation or wind resistance.

I think it's important to show that they don't quite work without gloves, but would agree that additional testing is warranted.
It would be cool to see these options compared to one more low tech option to see if it's all actually an upgrade. Like some regular gloves with one of those heating pouches in them. It's like when you included some antique tools in previous tool comparisons.

Wow! Sometimes spending more is worth it but Todds's tests show that is not always the case. Thanks!
In the future, it may be worth considering doing a segment on durability for heated gloves. I bought an expensive pair once, and they didn't even last a week before I couldn't use them in snow anymore as they had large tears in multiple places. I have a feeling the SabotHeat wouldn't do that well in a durability test. Thank you for the informative video!

@@ProjectFarm Yes, please test durability with these. That's why I got the Seirus HeatTouch Hellfire gloves to ski in along with being warm in the Fairbanks winter. I'm confident they'll last many winters and the batteries can be replaced if they wear out (Seirus is a major company and should offer the batteries for many years to come).

"durability for heated gloves" Durability of chinese gloves in general is poor. I had a pair of leather & down mittens from Switzerland that lasted 40 years. Chinese mittens (thin leather and chinese feathers) last me about a year of light use. I recently bought OR Coyote military mittens and multiple mitten and glove liners (made in USA) that allows the liners to be pulled out, swapped, dried. Compare with 1910-1912 Fram expedition: Roald Amundsen bought ordinary leather walking mittens from London shop and wore them to the South Pole and back. "Amundsen's indestructible mittens" - Holmenkollen Ski Museum
I was glad to see you put them in the freezer with a fan! I ride a Motorcycle and this was very useful for me! Thank You for all you do!!! 😎

Top tier review.! I wish this had been available when I bought the Savior gloves last year. The Sabots were unavailable then. My Savior gloves last a bit over 2 hours on high, like yours did. I bought them because my motorcycles all have heated grips, but my fingertips would get cold on the highway with non heated gloves in the 40s, and in the 30s would get numb. Combining the heated grips and the gloves makes cold. hands a non issue all the way down to freezing where my riding stops out of fear of ice.

So I bought the SabotHeat gloves within hours of this video being released. I will say that they are in no way waterproof (at least mine weren't), they didn't heat the fingertips, but they did warm my hands (except the finger tips), and the batteries last a very long time per charge. But for 50 bucks I'm happy for what I bought.

This would have helped me a lot back in 2014/2015. One thing I will say is that a lot of heated gloves aren't very sturdy and if you work in a warehouse freezer, you might end up tearing your gloves relatively quick due to the nature of your work. I just hope they make the gloves a bit more tougher so people can really get their money's worth out of them outside of being heated.

I was sorta wondering about something like that with the glove liners. Putting out decoys in the snow you want both a warm AND dry glove. I wonder if a heated glove liner inside of a waterproof shell would be the way to go.
Great to see a win for the cheapest gloves, just wondering if it'd be possible to have a follow up video with abrasion and puncture results. Unlikely we'd use heated gloves instead of work gloves, but the need might arise when the temperatures drop.

That's what those heated glove liners are for. Glove liners are meant to go *under* non-heated/temperature-ready gloves in order to provide extra protection, heat, oil/grease protection, etc.

@Project Farm I would also say cycle times as well. How many times they can be charged and ran before they start going bad. Cheap ones might only make a month of use and crap the bed and more expensive ones may last longer. Even say cycle them all a couple times a month and revisit next winter
@Typh3621

@@Deere2154D Batteries are replacable, so even if the $50 gloves batteries go bad after a month, Id wager you could still replace them with better or even larger batteries and still have value. The bonus on these is the fact the batteries can be taken out, unlike many electronics.

Glad I got in before the review. Research said they were best bang for your buck. Looks to be true. At least at the time of this video.
Wow, unexpected results! The least expensive gloves performed the best! Lucky for me, I don't need heated gloves where I live. Where I grew up ... that's a different story. All those cold days and nights - it would've been really nice to have heated gloves back then. Great watching this test. Very thorough and I like how the fingers and palms were tested with two temperature probes. I also like seeing how fast the gloves lost heat, or held the heat in some of the gloves. And finally, I was waiting for a battery life test and there it was. Awesome job! And as always, not only informative, but entertaining to watch.

I've had my Gerbing heated motorcycle gloves for over 15 years. Powered by the bike's electrical system, they have kept me comfortable at 55 mph in
if the glove liners are indeed liners, wouldn't it make sense to test their heating ability inside of a glove? I'd also like to see a waterproofing test for heated gloves given that one might be using them in snowy or icy conditions. another great video though, and a surprising result.
