Cheap DIY Lock bracket for your Cooler!

Ойын-сауық

I decided to make a cheap DIY lock bracket for my Yeti cooler. I thought the 12 dollar yet brackets were a rip off. Here is what I made for my cooler! Feel free to shape it how you seem fit!

It might be time for a metal bed cover. You know the ones that roll up? Some fold from either end so you can access the whole bed easier. I know money doesn't grow on trees but maybe it'll work out for ya. Glad to see ya back bro!!

Not much you can do with the "smart" thieves with cordless grinders. There's videos out there of them grinding away and people walking past. Anyway, I hate a thief. Grew up in Tampa, it was all up for grabs.

My daddy always said that locks are for keeping honest people honest. Like you said, they want it, they gonna get it, but if it's too much trouble maybe they'll move on. If not, I'll keep an eye on ebay for a used blue Yeti with a burn mark. Good to see you back!

I built my own cooler using a home or office plastic file storage box and the floatation foam panels from a salvaged Walmart PFD. I think the R value is equal to any of the high dollar coolers. This DIY cooler will hold two six packs of Bud or 18 bottles of water plus ice. I built this for $2. Bucks a garage sale box and a garage sale PFD For a buck. Do I lock it. hell no; It looks like a piece of used office junk and no one wants it. It fits in my kayak perfectly and I mounted a Dollar tree light in the lid for another dollar. The PFD material will keep it and you floating even if the kayak flooded out the beer is safe.👍

You need to put some kind of zapper on it that's remote control? So when someone steal your cooler and zap them? It's a thought? If nothing else works? Put some electric wire on it ? Go to tractor supply store look at electric fence . Maybe that will help you? I know you shouldn't have to go thru this? But you have people stealing your things? I had a car stolen in Florida one time? Believe me if I would of had some things electric wire to put around the whole car ? I would have. And then they would get zapped if they even tryed to steal something or anything?

Yeah I'll stick to my deny lock.......it's not getting cut and it keeps the cooler from moving tipping over ECT in rough terrain.......just ask for a discount or catch a sale then just buy the bases or bars for whatever coolers you have........worth the prices and I own a yeti roadie a gatr10 and a frosted frog 110 all have not been stolen and holds them down not tossing or anything.....only other recommendation would be buy a metal bed cover turning your truck bed into a SUV
