this is the same price i paid from a different vendor, mine came with gps, and a 4 led cam. i think the gettin them for $51 isnt a safe bet but glad to see you got one back in sept. all good! did you get the agama launcher app for $3 it makes the unit really worth owning!?

@@AllThingsCool its called Agama is a really nice launch screen it will boot up to a sweet radio control screen that blows away any expensive high end radio screen, you will love it , its so customizable it costs $3 but way worth it

Cool, so u can now hook up a Seek Thermal Camera to your in-vehicle display!!

I bought this same exact head unit from Amazon for $130 and i installed it in my car. 5 minutes later i tried to fit the trim back around the screen and I barely touched the screen and the screen separated from the unit and all the inside cables disconnected and I couldn't reconnect them. Thankfully, Amazon sent me a replacement. This time, I'll make sure that there are 4 screws securing the screen to the unit and not 1.

True, but the really down side is that you have to pull open the front end of the dash and expose the electrical guts of your vehicle and then connect up all the wiring. Is it worth it? I guess if you like working on cars these are fun projects.

Nice video, been looking at getting one of these but it's always tricky to tell how they actually perform and look just from an ebsy ad. Lots of these cheap chinese unbranded units can be very laggy and the interface either akward to use or not very neat/polished but it looks pretty neat on this. I could imagine this becoming pretty slow if you started installing too many apps, I wonder if you could uninstall some of the pre-installed apps that dont get used to free up some memory.

He mounted it to the radio mounts in the dash. Just attach the metal arms to the back of the screen and slide it into the opening

How is your radio tuner? I have a generic android head unit and the radio isnt that great, there are a few stations that just dont come in at all. Other than that after a few weeks of playing around with it and watching youtube videos its been a pretty amazing unit for the price. OBD2 via bluetooth connected, tmobile mobile hotspot connected and usb/aux adapter connected + android auto is working pretty good.

Sounds like the battery constant wire and accessories wire ( key wire) are swapped. Just need to switch those 2 wires.

That glossy screen would kill me. You can use it as a mirror too

No it's all one peice( that sucks). You definitely have to be creative and have some fabricated skills to get this to work. I actually mounted it to the radio bezel then popped bezel back on. Did not use the stock mounting holes for radio not sure if you could. They give you the to brackets for the radio so those I mounted to radio put the radio through the bezel then bent the brackets inward to hold the screen to the bezel on the underside hope this helps. It would be way easier if the radio was two pieces and it snapped on but for 50 bucks what can u expect

I got it for $93.99 and it came with a carplay dongle as well which is separately worth like $50. Obviously they get it for cheaper since they get a ton, but on our end it’s a good deal.

What kind of mount did you use? I’m trying to put one on my 2007 Ford Expedition.. but the mount that came with it isn’t working well….

Only one of my speakers is working. everything seems fine and the balance setting in the volume settings is set to the middle so it's not a setting issue. Any ideas?

These head units are great to update your car but the biggest dm downside for the cheap ones are the poor sound quality, I have one installed in my car but I am going to buy a DSP unit to make the audio sound a lot better.

@@sphothisane dsp is a external usb amplifier. Plug into usb. Then you plug the audio output from the usb amplifier into a external car amplifier. Or that's how mine has been set up

Hey. Bought a player with almost the same setup as yours. Only that it's for a mazda 3. Same wiring and it looks identical to mine from the back. Having toruble getting it to work. When plugging in the power cable and the antenna thingy I'm only getting lights on the buttons and nothing else happens. What wires you actually need for it to work? Was wondering if I should just pick up another powercable adapter from my local store but i'm not sure. Does it reguire more than just the powercable and antennacable to work? Any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks!

The reason for thinking to get another cable is that the lights on the buttons go on and off from time to time when playing around with it. Bad contact somewhere on the power cable perhaps, don't know.

Haven't shown anything on the screen after the first day. Even then I only had a fainted image forna second or two of some text

It would have been nice to see you plug an Android phone into the USB to see if it had Android auto built in. Cool video.

Some android head units come with android auto but I’m sure this one doesn’t because the price. I have a android head unit with the same android system and I bought a dongle that plugs into the usb that allows me to use android auto or Apple car play, truly makes these cheap head units a LOT better.

No hidden radio and yea its plug and play I mean u have to connect wires if you installed a radio before u know what I mean . If not you just get a wire harness for your car fr ok m like amazon or walmart and the harness has all the wires marked what they are then you just connect the wires from the radio to the same wired on the car harness

My touch screen works when it wants to now after 7 months, reset button doesn't help it screen does the same thing. Keeps saying write disk changed. Have to connect a USB mouse to it to make it work smh

I installed the same one and the fact that it goes to volume 10 on EVERY boot up with NO settings to change it or remember the last volume it's a total deal breaker, Also doesn't help that you can't turn off the built in amp so it's too loud at volume 1 if you got a amp. Just a heads up i know the saying you get what you pay for lol, It's great for everything else so far plug a 2tb external drive and you can watch movies for days so they'd do great on headrests with Bluetooth headphones.

Nope remembers everything else fine, Stations, brightness, key binds etc. Great unit if some genius didn't decide to hard code the volume level to 10 on every start, Also the equalizer does nothing at all so i can't adjust my bass/treble, Going back to factory radio with a tablet on a aux.

If I'm reading the specs properly it seems this head unit has mirror link capability which essentially means you can cast your entire screen from your phone to the headunit itself. This would serve two masters. 1.) The use of any app your phone already has on it, negating the need to clutter the head unit and therefore maintaining speed because there is freed up memory. and 2.) This would allow you to use the internet directly from your phone as opposed to your hotspot, which Verizon will reduce the speeds to a near crawl once you surpass 15gb or so.

You would have to use the phone for the controls anyway I think, because the screen mirror just projects the image, I don't think it will allow you to use the touch screen to control the app on your phone.

@@Turtlejay80 interesting, my mistake then, I didn't realize some units did this. In my experience (which is minimal) with mirroring on other touch screens it was an image only, and didn't take the feedback from the other screen to the source device. But it's good that someone figured that out!
