Snide Bramhall, haha top comment right from the start. That made me laugh all way through, needed it been ill with flu all week not had any cider for seven days well pissed off. This is one of your best Ste. Cheadle used to be one of the places to be seen late 80s early 90s, fancy bars and all that but guess a lot of places were like that back then, busy and full of fanny. As for the shops, same old story, the high street decline caused by the usual rent/rates/parking charges, lazy bastards ordering everything online which causes a lack of footfall, so the more empty shops there are, the more difficult it is to attract new businesses, especially when todays entrepreneurs are more likely to start an online business than a physical one. Fucking Bezos has a lot to answer for. At least a few pubs open though, thats about the only good thing.

Where would you find cheap land to provide cheap parking, cheap rents and cheap rates on a high street when councils are going bankrupt, landlords demand infinite money and foreign investors are buying up everything? Genuinely curious.

@@AvocadoAfficionadoEh ? I was merely giving my own opinion as to the main reasons behind high street declines. If you are genuinely curious then I suggest you speak to an expert regarding town centre funding and development.
