I had dinner at one of Chazz's restaurants. He happened to be there, and I approached him, he said he would come over in a little while and say hello. My group felt like he brushed us off. He DIDN'T, true to his word he came over and took pictures. He was very generous with his time and couldn't have been nicer to our guests. (Side note: the food was outstanding.)

Chazz isn't BSing when he said that he always acknowledges the "little guy". I watched him address the crowd at a feast in his old neighborhood, Arthur Avenue in the Bronx, back in the mid 2000s. He walked off of the stage and was walking in my direction. When he got close he looked over at me and walked over to me and said "How are ya?" "Good ta see you." and shook my hand! I was very surprised, because I was just standing there, not waving or anything! And I thought, Man, what a nice guy!

Apparently, Lillo is doing some acting gigs now, and he is young enough to come back from his mistakes, but if he wants his friends back, he has to learn to be truly humble, and to earn back that respect by not saying things like his friend "threw him under the bus." He did not. Chazz is disappointed, like you said, and hurt because both De Niro and Chazz both tried to help him. I am not so sure Lillo is being fully honest, even now, because if those guys were to start backing him again, it is good for his career. So I wonder about ulterior motives.

Lillo demanding or expecting more sounds like someone who has not done that. People who love you deserve to feel dissapointed, that shows they really cared and believed in you. And to get back the respect you have to earn it, you dont just expect things to be ok just because of your parents. Earn back the respect.

Amazing sit-down Mike, Chazz has always been a great guy, not just a famous man and legendary actor, he is in touch with people, I remember seeing him walk through the Jacob javits center when the trade centers were attacked, he took time and talked with my father who was a first responder there, and my father still talks about him to this very day, how he stopped took time and spent time talking with several guys.

Great interviews! I love Chazz! He is the realest. I love that he is brutally honest and did not hold back on explaining his side of the matter about Lillo. Any one can receive help but you have to be in the head space to help yourself first. Chazz has a tough love approach but he has a point that life lessons are learned but certain things are preventable if you just be smart about how you go about things.
