I think that has happened with a lot of youtubers, which is a good thing. The big youtubers back in Dax's day, when all they did was sit in front of a camera and talk, really helped them "get out of their shell", and made everyone laugh.

I think some of his diaries feel wrong. Like when he was filming him and Jacob. Jacob didn’t seem like a real character and a act. Like Dax had such an overreaction to when Jacob had to leave, and Jacob said some things that we’re very scripted

I have autism and it seems like Dax does too. People always misconstrue me for weird things when I talk... even a spy or cop. I wish people were more open minded to those who are neurotypicical enough to function and hold a conversation, but still struggle with socializing in many aspects. Thanks for speaking up for him.

I think in a lot of his recent interviews, he’s being more of himself but when you look at the old videos on his channel (like the now deleted one where he goes to the beach, for example) there are clearly punchlines he sets up and there are other people who play into the joke. That’s not say that he isn’t actually somewhat awkward irl but I think he plays it up and is more self aware than most think (he’s even said himself that he played it up a little when he was like 15)

It's so hard to tell if he's joking or not. He was in 1 small scene in 21 Jump Street he obvs didn't make much money. He's not that big on yt anymore and generally people don't live off of a very small sum for almost a decade and make zero financial decisions or planning. But maybe he is happy, that's all that matters imo. I had a classmate like him in elementary school, I believe that they are both autistic. How do people still think the awkwardness is intentional when he genuinely says himself it isnt at 7:50 . "I used to think i was funny, now i think that some things i do are funny but i cant intentionally do it." Basically saying hes not trying to be funny by playing a character, hes just this this way. Its really obvious to me he is actually this way. People are in disbelief this is a real person because they've never seen it before in real life so it must be a character. I binge watched Daxflame in 2007, then I recently binge watched him again. Fitting this should happen. Very fitting. The good old Daxflame/Lisanova/Smosh days, ahhh...

Daxflame is the greatest thing to ever come out of youtube. I still reference his videos with friends to this day. Love this interview!

Bonnie literally spazzing out trying to lick his face was the funniest thing. Legit made me laugh out loud

It's pretty remarkable he has been playing this same character, albeit evolved, since he was a teenager. Legitimately one of the best and lesser known actors of our era.

I've been following Daxflame since some of his earliest videos on the site, there is a lot to it, but people have figured out over the years he isn't really the crazy eccentric guy he appears to be in many of his KZread videos. I'm sure there are some resources debunking him online. Especially watching stuff like 21 Jump Street, you can tell he has the ability to play an actual role (other than just the Daxflame character) unlike his goofy homemade films back in the day. Being awkward and nervous is part of his shtick.

Don't most people act when they are in front of a camera? Most people are just trying to be confident or sexy or something, and he is doing the opposite.

If you actually listen to his answer at 5 minutes its pretty obvious he's not doing the same thing now as what he did when he made his story vlogs.

Legitimately my favourite video I’ve watched in months, I’ve watched this 3 times today. No joke at all this is just so intriguing to watch and dax is bloody hilarious
