Mark Dudley Some specalities will be replaced Radiologists,Dermotologists and Pathologists maybe be replaced because these specialists rely on pattern recogointion, which is perfert for a machnine. Suergons and Anthestologists will see a reduaction of job openigs. They wont be replaced, but a reducation. KZread: Automated Surgery, Werid Suergon will be replaced wth robots.

I genuinely pray that this doesn’t happen! I have already developed anxiety about how the changes to healthcare (such as new insurance policies) will affect the job outlook for physicians. The fact that millions of peoples dreams of becoming doctors and helping others may be crushed and taken away from them by a lifeless soulless machine appalls me. Many kids and young adults are sacrificing their “glory days” of their twenties to continue their education for over a decade after high school, and these sacrifices and dreams are practically being ripped away from them in order for hospitals to save money. I believe the AI could help, I’m not denying that, but at what cost, AI can help find cancers or help compute probabilities, but a computer will never be able to replace the spirit of someone who is devoting their life and youth to help those in need.

Hospitals and Insurance companies don’t care about people dreams. They are business and there primary concern is profit. They only care if it impacts there bottom line. Patient Safety impacts there bottom line, so therefore Patient Safety is there primary concern.

Thanks for the feedback, I’m glad you like the improvements being made over here. Hopefully there’s more people interested in medical science haha! The KZread algorithm isn’t giving us much love and demonetized some of our content, but that’s ok, won’t depend on them for much. Want to create quality and a relationship with our audience. Going to start working on putting content on Facebook to see how that works.

Great video bro. For me personally it wouldn't make a big difference as to whose helping me get over a health issue, human or not, as long as what needs to be done gets done. I already wish that physical exams are done by robots cause its much less embarrassing to stand naked in front of a robot without the possible" judgi eyes" if you ask me.

You posted this video at the beginning of 2018. We are now approaching 2023 and not a damn thing has changed, nor is it looking like these things will come to fruition anytime in the foreseeable future. Its the carrot and the stick situation again

First of all, your channel is totally great. The second thing, of course human beings aren't as accurate as humans and doctors. However, in my opinion, we will still need the man. And the robots that work in the field of medicine can achieve a great progress. But they don't have the creativity. They can't discover or invent any thing new. They can diagnose diseases, such as cancer, fast and more accurate, but they can't improve the way doctors treat these diseases. I hope they can as we will conquer bad ,serios diseases , but they can't .....Also, there are rare diseases that doctors don't know or at least don't know how to treat. So, they need to work on finding a treatment for them. To conclude: we , as human beings, are the creator of these machines. So, we should use it to help us not to remove the human efforts and depend completely on them. And the patient's life is the most important thing. No matter if a doctor or a machine will treat them

i pray this happens to help humans in the long run into the future, sometimes i trust robots more than humans.

It's coming, but it's not replacing physicians. Although a lot of physicians need to find a new job because the job market is going to get more competitive.

In egypt we have really bad Healthcare system So I prefer robot a robot that tell me I am gonna die in 6 mouth Instead of a doctor who will steal my kidney or sell me a worng medicine

It is a part of the processes that take place in the universe, a reality that is inescapable. However, I am not stating that we shouldn't try to avoid error, what I'm saying is that we need to also prepare on how to handle an error.

he margin of error with machines is minimal though. In one study, it was claimed that AI has a 96% accuracy in diagnosis and with machine learning, the level of accuracy can increase. If AI is going to be introduced in the world, when it comes to health care and people's lives, we should not be apologetic in implementing such great ideas.

All you need to do is train one AI doctor. Then just copy & paste it’s knowledge to other AI doctors. It’s faster, safer, & cheaper.

Not only doctors everyjob in their current meaning will be replaced hopefully to make jobs less stressfull. In future we will forced to reinvent ourself whether you are doctor,engineer,manager,lawyer etc. Calculators didn’t replace mathematician,similarly AI won’t replace most of the job

Filmon Tewolde The problem is the mid level job market is going to saturate. PAs are finding it hard to find jobs in big cities. Schools are opening up nonstop. Why because it is cheaper and easier. NPs are also getting saturated. But could they replace PCPs, sure.

People don’t just die because of doctors human error, lots of patients die of treatable illnesses because they can’t afford decent healthcare or health insurance. If the world treat everyone equal when it came to health care and cared about people’s health and not treat health care as a money making business then more people would not die or suffer.

I’ve finished my medical degree and I have started my residency training. I have no regrets about it. The physician will not be replaced any time soon, however physicians who can leverage technology will excel. So if you do go to medical school, also be good with technology, computers, and coding. Many doctors write unnecessary medicines & diagnostic tests. I will like to replace human doctors in one condition. If, Scientists direct put accurate and updated medicine data into all robotic doctors without corruption. Thus, Good facilities will be available in 3rd class countries also. Many doctors don’t touch with updated guidelines. Bcz, they become bored & tired to memorize so many books during their MD student period. That’s a very difficult to answer, but here’s what I’ll say. If you’re considering to doing medicine because of AI, don’t worry about it. Still do medicine. Now you have to make sure the rest of the reasons match up. You are willing to spend long nights in the hospital? Put your patients first? Sacrifice your 20s going to school?

I don't car if an AI is my doctor, as long as it is better than a human doctor, or they could work together.

what are the causes of headaches? can ibm watson accurately diagnose daily tension chronic migranes and headaches? because i experience them and where can i go in the world that has this technology Dr.Stick?

Dr are driven by the system so hard most visits they are only able to spend 5-10 min max with a patient. The system of todays medicine is based on money and not health. If money is the bottom line in this system then yes AI will produce better results than the average Dr today. Maybe in the future AI will be called traditional medicine and Dr will be called alternative healthcare providers

Shubham Adhikary Nope it is not worth it. Cost of being a Physician = Student Loan Debt+ Oppertunity Cost+ Other Expenses. Other problems: High Stress, long hours 80 hours/ week, worrying about getting sued, worrying about losing lincense, constently taking exams, always have to update your knowledge because the medical field changes, automation is another problem. Another problem is other medical professionals incrouching on your job. For example Anesthesiologists are afraid of being replaced with CRNA. Also, physicians deal with a lot of paperwork that sucks up a lot of your time. Dealing with insurance companies and they are constently trying to ripp you off in terms of pay. Hospitals are trying to cut costs from deficit a lot of hospitals are dealing with. One of sloutions to cutting cost is that they are talking about cutting physician s salaries.

If you’re really passionate about it, then do it. Otherwise you have to deal with all the stuff Filmon Tewolde mentioned and that’s pretty damn accurate assessment of medicine. I’m in my 3rd out of 4 years and medical school, getting closer to finally finishing

While AI can provide assistance in these tasks, it cannot replace the critical thinking and judgment that healthcare professionals bring to medical care. I hope doctors will be replaced - they are in many instances so inadequate. People always believe - especially when they are seriously sick - that they have the best doctor. But by definition some people need to be cured by the 10% worst doctors. And how often haven't you been to a doctor with a problem they can't solve - simply because the often oversee the real problem. A machine will gather all the data - and eventually come up with the right solution in 80% of the cases.

AI for diagnosis can and will be allot more accurate then humans. There is a reason that we use databases to find links in any base of data. Look at all the odd links that Cambridge analytical found when acquiring Facebook information on millions of users. The association's that no one would have thought of the databases came up with. Associations like most liberals like to listen to X artist. If you apply that same process to medical data imagine the association's that could be created. Perhaps a person who displays a common cold 5 days before coming in to the hospital with a pain in their left side would be Associated to some type of organ failure. The possibilities are endless for computers.
