I wasn't sure what he was gonna do when he was saying all that at the rim, glad to see he stuck it out.

Such a cool human moment to see him debating going back, knowing the pain that he would have to endure. Nice to see him going through the same internal struggle the rest of us do.

Congrats to Jim Walmsley for a fantastic Grand Canyon R2R2R Run! Jamil, this is probably the best short Grand Canyon running video I have seen so far. I'm so impressed you were able to hold the camera up steady while chasing Jim down the uneven stairsteps coming down from North Rim to the Redwall Bridge. So glad you were there to capture the moment!

I've watched this and the long version dozens of times.....coming back to see it after Jim's WIN at UTMB!!!

Thanks so much! Overall the Osmo is an incredible camera, still a few drawbacks, but I've yet to find anything to match it.

It’s amazing effort what Jim can do rim to rim x2 and less time than it took me to get down the south Kaibab to Phantom Ranch Granted I did have 40 pound pack and in the middle of the summer but nonetheless that’s pure craziness much less the cameraman it wasn’t for him this video would be possible so a little props to him Just can’t help but wonder what people are thinking when they see this dude running back down that just ran past them just a few minutes ago

Good stuff. Does Jim still hold the record? Ultra running is kind of a small sport, so I wonder if some of the top marathon runners would be able to easily beat his record. Any thoughts on that?

He still has it. I’m sure there is someone who could, but your average top marathoner would need to work on their technical climbing and descending to tackle the canyon that fast.

A distance of 41.8 miles with 21,420 feet of vertical change (both up and down). He averaged 8:30 per mile. Insane.

That's like saying dunking is impossible because you can't do it. You're watching the best .0001% in action. Walmsley, Jornet and the like have abilities that transcend normal human capacity.

The downhill music is questionable.

Great run, just terrible music

crap music ruins it.

Over-rated. It was downhill all the way. (Okay, maybe just the bit that the camera man did was downhill.)
