    Don't chase a woman who has no intention in wanting to be caught. Some women just love the thrill of being chased to boost their ego of being wanted.

    This video literally got me cheering out loud. I've been thinking that I was a chaser, but in fact, I'm a pursuer! I'm glad I took the advice from Tom Hardy: He never enters a room expecting and hoping the people to like him. Instead, he focuses on finding out whether he likes the people in the room. It's all about mindset, patience, and mental toughness

    I would suggest delete both these words chasing and pursuing, they mean the same that she is on the pedestal and you have to pursue her. You have to understand your a great guy and you want to give her the OPPORTUNITY to get with you. All this chasing and pursuing will give you a negative mindset. Women will tell you they love to be chased and pursued. all it does is validates her ego but it doesn't make her attracted to you.

    I went on a first date at the weekend and it went well. In the lead up to it we had been messaging back and forth multiple times per day. I realised that if a girl takes > 24 hours to get back to you, she is either not interested or you are just an option. Dont be an option. After the date I messaged her and she took a while to respond (but still not > 24 hours). I noticed that my old insecurities started to kick in and I got the urge to message her and see what was up. I ignored them, went to the gym and then worked. She replied and at this point I realised that I finally moved from a chaser>pursuer. Doesnt really matter what happens at this point, at least I can now give myself the best chance of meeting someone who is good for me.

    The best advice I’ve seen her give, so true on many levels. My 2 cents, something it took me decades to learn, analyze yourself and try to understand your tendencies with women. Meaning, why you’re attracted to certain types and why you react in specific ways in relationships. Understanding yourself will help you avoid pitfalls that can be unhealthy for you. Me, for example, when a women was really interested in me I had a tendency to overly romanticize the situation and idealize her too much. It took me decades to learn to keep a clear head and take it one day at a time. As Courtney points out here, so brilliantly, have the mindset that you’ll be ok with OR without her. Just get to know her slowly and don’t put your life on hold for anyone. If it’s meant to be, it will fall into place naturally!

Overall I'd suggest not trying to initiate relationships of any kind over social media if you've never actually met the person. But there is an exception to this if you have had some reciprocal interactions on comments etc, IE she interacts with what you post, not just replying to your comments or something. I've met many women that way. But you can break all the rules if you're a gigachad or something lol.

    Actions speak louder than words. As soon as you meet a girl you find attractive then be fairly direct with a compliment that is not overly sexual and that has a degree of push pull, in the simplest of terms this might basically be something such as “ you’re quite attractive but I don’t know if I like you yet”. And then ask for her number and call her a few days later for a coffee date. It’s simple, direct and truthful. You’ve balanced a compliment with a reservation so you are not giving away all your agency. Far from it. You honestly don’t know whether you like her yet, and that is what dating is for. So this way you’ve made it clear that You’ve framed the interaction as a date and unless the girl is retarded or disingenuous she must see it that way too. After that, no more compliments unless she earns them, and escalate slowly.

    You talk with her for a while, two or five times per text, see if she ever texts you first, if she does and seems engaging, tell her you find her "insert whatever non sexual compliment" and want to get to know her more over a coffee or smtg. If she says anything but a yes, take it as a no and move on and stop texting her unless she does. That's what I do. If she never texts back again then she really wasn't interested in the 1st place.

    I rejected a girl that was into me but, gets rejected by the girl I want. I'm in this cycle always. So.. I think I fall into the chase category simply because the notion of we want who we want. It's kind of upsetting to fall trap to unrequited love. Like if someone likes me, I didn't have to work for it and I might go out with her and make her my girlfriend but it was "Easy". On the flipside, alot of guys want a challenge and most of the time we would fall flat on our face. The point I'm making is.. you aren't entitled to someone but you sure are deserving.

It is easy to fall into chasing, but it is also easy to start thinking you are chasing and then letting fear stop the pursuit as well. But I do have a question or two to ask you Ms. Ryan...I was making so many mistakes that could of been prevented in the first place if I would of known about this and yes I was seriously manipulated plenty of times before so I did develop some sort of resentment towards the women who did screw me over but the best revenge is NO revenge because me being Happy,Living really Well, having Success, having Abundance, and having Peace of Mind is Top Priority for me is number #1 and I don't want to compromise that for anyone unless it benefits me. I raised to NEVER to give up because quitters NEVER Win but it was Never mine in the first place to begin with so regardless if I was chasing or pursuing it wouldn't have mattered. Hollywood has really tricked a lot of guys like me that told us to do this kind of stuff that Women really want when it was all b.s. in the first place. I'm still enjoy your videos and see your tips and advice very useful and helpful but I'm mostly focusing on myself to get Better, get Healing, and Level Up. Thanks for sharing again Courtney 🙏❤💯

    I've encountered a lot of the scenario from dating apps where theres a lot of interest and attention reciprocation at the beginning from the woman, eventually even leading to dates/sex but then the interest wanes and eventually leads to a situation where I feel I'm left dangling on the end of a string and getting nothing in return. I've learned to just remove myself from those situations politely as they've probably moved on/started talking to someone else and it's not worth the anxiety it's causing me any longer to think about it. On to the next.

    Somewhere down the line, it feels like we convinced ourselves that the only way to date is to have one person qualify to the other. In my opinion, that's really what chasing is and it could not be farther from the truth. Men are more prone to it, but single women still do it especially with emotionally unavailable attractive men. We've got to get away from all of the nonsense. Just be intentional and show somebody if you're interested in them. Notice I say "show" because actions are worth 1,000 words. The decision they make from there is up to them, and then your ability to accept that decision is up to you. It is not your job to prove to the other person how much of a man or woman you are, and thinking like that is inherently rooted in insecurity. I do have sympathy if you already have a pre-existing and genuine emotional connection with someone before you try to date them. Those rejections sting the worst, but the correct course of action still remains the same.

    Found the video helpful, clarifies the terms. What I would like to see is a video on waiting too long to "make the move." Example: let's say you're in college. You run into a girl twice a week (her class is in the same area as yours.) 1st week : you notice she waits for class at a certain spot 2nd week: you cold approach and mention the fact that you see her every now and then, and "thought I'd stop and say hi" 3rd week: stop by and say hi (she smiles, changes her body to face you) (this is the week you make the move) (ask her out)).....but instead you just say "hi, I'll come say hi whenever I see you" 4th week: she's not there 5th week: gone Happened to me recently, I felt that energy that third week and also felt her disappointment after the interaction was over.

  • @jleano609

    @jleano609

    2 жыл бұрын

    Some PUAs teach the “three second rule”. If you see an attractive girl you have 3 seconds to approach. And of course all approaches end in a number ask. The idea is to train you to be decisive and this in turn projects confidence, which women find attractive. Look at it this way. By delaying showing romantic interest and thinking you can somehow build greater attraction over a number of interactions you are projecting that you don’t think you are already “enough” from the jump, an indication of low value. So you risk the zone marked “friend” with a girl. It’s the same context as over texting a girl before finally asking for a date, you come off as indecisive and the girl can get frustrated and turned off if you make her wait too long. Also there is the practical risk of delay, that she might not be there next time. But you already know this to your cost.

    I'd like you to do a video on ghosting. This is a horrible act that I've been a victim of a number of times. The women that did it to me turned out to be spineless, weak and ultimately cowards. Elaborate on why ghosting is bad for the doer too. Ghosting can lead to the doer to have self-doubts about holding a relationship when they have a quick get-out for when things aren't to their liking. It's heartbreaking to be ghosted. Courtney, give me your shoulder to cry on. :'(

    Thank you for this video. It never dawned on me that I was being a "simp" (or even knew the word) until recently. But the way you describe chasing vs pursuing, no wonder I'm 42 and have still to find a lady. No one has ever wanted to be caught or has pursued back. But, yeah, I have fallen in the trap where it was so obvious to everyone else that she wanted nothing to do with me, but still "let" me spoil her with only minimal attention received. Really wish someone would have explained much sooner the difference. Thank you for breaking it down. Have a great day!

    If you live in America, it's way too hard to find a woman. They play too much mind games on men who likes her. Other countries rarely do that.

  • @huntstyle

    @huntstyle

    Just change your mindset to evaluating her behavior closer. YOU are qualifying HER, too. I've made the same mistakes, maybe not so much in buying girls things, but in chasing them when they weren't reciprocating. Not doing that anymore. I think it's best to go light on the compliments and things in the early going, don't be so eager to please her until she's showing interest and is eager to please you. Us men are catches, too, not just women. They need to earn our attention.

    I once asked a girl if she'd want to hang out. She said she had other plans. I stopped asking and stopped texting. She texted first a couple of weeks later saying she can hang out. I usually don't ask more than once. I feel that if I'm high quality (having moral values, good character, being classy, working hard, being successful in my career, being financially stable, having a good heart, being fit, or working hard to be better in areas I listed) then I shouldn't need to chase.
