CHASING LOGS, and CHASING RAIN!

Ойын-сауық

Another day, another heavy rain fall warning! We’re into quite a weather pattern here now- very strange… but it’s not raining right now and I’ve got logs to pick up from a house lot that’s being cleared near me- I’d better get at it!

Having the mic while you are working is a nice touch. I got a chuckle out of Sandys last video. A 22" log is not too uncommon. I'm still very new to sawing and I've got a few of them under my belt now lol

The mic makes the machines sound weird!

Surprising how much power that smaller unit (tractor and cart) has, lifts logs at maximum length easily. Great job

That trailer is great. There's a lot of money could be spent on forestry grapple trailers. I personally would prefer one of your sized machines. My woods here in the Adirondacks are steep & thick, and the ground is rough. 5 logs at a time is fine. Keep it up

I don’t think there’s an end to the money that can be spent on forestry equipment… I need to settle and be satisfied with what I have now and stop watching KZread videos and listing after bigger and better gear! 😂

Very cool Jeff. Im still amazed by the power in the logging trailer. Don't sit around to long in your pj's, you know what happens. Kenny

Hello, I am really enjoying your videos. I was wondering if the logs you aquire have been end sealed or not and how important do you feel that is.

I seal the prize hardwood logs- but not the softwood. I have a gallon of anchor seal and I’ve been using the same gallon for more than 2 years! So it’s not high on my priority list! Thanks for watching! Jeff

Curious as to why you don't use the winch to bring the logs to the trailer?

These logs are only a few minutes away- it would have been more time consuming for me to unhook the trailer and stage the logs… but I’m probably going to go down another day and stage a few loads by the road side.

I have 2 saw, all Stihl- an MS250, 45cc home owners saw- it’s good, an MS400 pro saw, it’s about 72cc it’s a beast, more than I need for everyday- but great on the big stuff. and an MS261 pro saw- it’s Stihls goldilocks saw- great at just about everything.
