I find it very disappointing, at the. Lack of diesel powerd small autos in the USA. Simply your van was not sold with that diesel in the usa best I know. . I'm working on a project to put a 4JB1-TC or 2.8L in a isuzu trooper. Otherwise known as a JDM engine. It's about as close to a bolt in as you can get, literally turn transmission bracket around and holes are all ready in it ready to use. Being direct injection with no engine computer, they basically sound like a road legal tractor LOL. . I've found there was actually a 2 tank version sold in Australia, a long 2 door version in the 80s. Better suited for doing a 2 tank vegetable oil fuel system. . gearing is a challenge, I have 4 choices from 4.77 to 4.11 Definitely makes it a good state highway, federal speed limit auto. freeways not so much. . Anyway very nice job on it, definitely worth more then I could pay.
Cedar is worth sawing. Anytime of day lol. New subscriber here today
What a nice setup, seems like so much fun to travel with that everything compact all in its place. Thanks for sharing
Hi Jeff!!😀😀 A place for everything and everything in its place. Enjoy your vacation!!😀👍
That is a really nice little adventure buggy.
What flavor ice cream?
Salted caramel.
I can't imagine eating more ice cream than you need.
It’s been known to happen!

If you could just make a living by driving places and telling people about things in your metric language.
I really like all the birch ply.
Thank you for mentioning me.
Good morning from Orange County, Indiana. Tonight, we will be staying with the Amish community in Mayslick Kentucky. I often find myself on short three - and four day road trips. This trip is a family going to see family while all the youngsters are out of school.
Cool!
That a very nice van. Well equipped. Looks cozy. 😎👍
Nice update. Fun project and setup
Hi Jeff Happy Birthday...they just keep coming ! I have something similar...but 3 times the size ! I didn't notice any difference using it outside...slight breeze and it seemed useless...and indoors i wouldn't wanna breathe the vapors ! Glad you like it !!😊
@@kendriedger151 I’ve got a bigger one too, uses a butane cylinder- it’s useless as far as I’m concerned. The chemicals in these pads are synthesized insecticide … I looked it up- everything will kill you! 😂
@@thelogfather5002 hahaha...amazing what different kinds of crap that are out there !!😁
Good one.
Happy birthday Jeff. Now that’s something I’m gonna check out.
Happy birthday Jeff. Enjoy your time off.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEFF! Mine was the 21st. Hope you have a lovely time.
@@kavemanthewoodbutcher happy birthday to you too!
Happy birthday, Jeff. Enjoy your time off!!
If it keeps them west nile buggers away, im all for it. Happy birthday.
Thanks for that tip/review Jeff. Enjoy your BDay adventures!
Happy Birthday Jeff 🥳🥳🥳
Thank you brother!
Happy birthday!!! Enjoy your camping trip
Curious as too what is in those pads...
I wonder how to find out?
@@thelogfather5002 my guess is if it works that well, it can't be good .

The size of a roll of looneys
Exactly!
Hi Jeff!!😀😀 Happy birthday brother!!😀😀💚💚 Nice to see you are mosquito free. Take care my friend!! Logger Al
Thanks Al!
Was starting to think that first log would be a good mantle, but that didn’t turn out to be the case. But sometimes a person just needs to take a look.
Not much able to salvage for that ugly beast.
Nice wall of wood in your video.
Where are your safety glasses???
I have them with me all the time, they’re prescription, but sometime I neglect to wear them when I should…
I hope you didnt buy those logs?
😂 not a chance! The guy I milled them for had some sentimental attachment to them- his father planted them.
Love it. I’ve got a couple of “character logs” that I’ve been reluctant to open up. As always, I learned a ton. Thanks Jeff.
What kind of wood is that. It would need to have some mighty fine grain to make it worth cutting.
Eastern white cedar. Not really worth the effort in my opinion…
@@thelogfather5002 That was my opinion, but it was pretty lumber.
Nice! I just found one in my grandfather’s shed, still in the original box. Going to clean it up, change out the fuel and see how she runs
It’s a great little machine!
Cool video Jeff. Too bad that first log turned out to be bad inside. Looked like it had lots of character. 😎👍
Great job, thanks very much, It turned out better than i was expecting, now that its all stacked to dry i have some time to figure out what to do with it.
Hello Jeff That first log looked awesome...lots of character ! Probably was worth more whole than cut up !! LOL A few minutes of your life you won't get back....but just call it a fun experience and all is Good !!😊
That log is just about as ugly as me, and I'm that ugly ya couldn't draw me.
😂
Nice job Jeff. Is that an early model Woodmizer? I see it is LF2236. Does the LF stand for Log Father?
Hi Jeff, that’s a mill I built myself, it’s loosely based on Linn Lumber’s mill. The LF2236 stands for Log Father (me) 22 hp, 36” diameter log. 😎
@@thelogfather5002 wow that is quite the skill to build your own mill! Would love to come visit you some day but probably not this year
You killed it on that deal.
Nice lumber. Glad you didn’t find any metal. I sawed a few cedar hydro poles before did you find it hard to saw ? Like dense hard?
@@russellbelliveau1694 not at all, it’s super soft like balsa wood.
@@thelogfather5002 the cedar poles I had sawed were hard as heck lol so much it would throw the blades off at times
Milling white cedar is the best. Smells great, rolls over easy and is light. We use cedar on our antique shingle mill... great stuff
my guess it's has rutted out from the brain beetles any more questions you need to answer?
😂 I can answer a lot of questions!
That is one UGLY and UNHAPPY looking piece of wood. Although those first few cuts did make some nice plaque or sign boards.
Not a lot of yield but nothing ventured nothing gained.
What did you order for a mill? And when is it coming?
@@thelogfather5002 I bought a mill with 4hrs on it and we will have a video on the channel tomorrow morning. It’s a Vallee Green Monster mill
What was that Jeff? Looks kinda like a cedar
Eastern white cedar… :)
@thelogfather5002 well save it for smoking some salmon
How in the heck do you have 2 year old logs without worms chewing through them? 1 summer and the little buggers are everywhere under the bark, by year 2 there are large grubs eating holes in it. You must have those large black bugs there that chew and leave pyramid piles?
There’ll be a few, I can hear them chewing some days… but the logs will be fine for a year or so. I do rotate my inventory a couple times a year though.
For years I used a bucking horse for slabs and trimmings. I have such a huge volume of slabs and trimmings I made a huge bucking station it’s 2 feet wide and 6 feet high. I made it with 2x4s about 16 inches from the ground I put a cross member to hold the slabs off the ground. The uprights are 16” apart and I run the chainsaw in the middle of the uprights. It holds about a 1/2 cord and makes it easy to cut a wad of slabs and trimmings fast.
I had a set up just like that. The slabs, I’d give away- there’s really not a lot of value in them, but the edges have value when bundled as kindling.
