It was so exciting to see him excel in the CF position. Heartbreaking he left but I support his decision.
Am an Arsenal fan, but I respect and admire Liverpool FC a lot, I would choose Mane over Salah on different aspects as players, He was given undermined support and recognition by the team management and media, But Reds fans love him and knows he was unique. All the best in Germany Sadio!

As Liverpool fans, we know Salah did (still does) more than Mané ever did for Liverpool. Salah is way a better player than Mané. The greatest African to play in the PL and greatest PL winger of all time is Mo Salah. Mané is still a legend of the club, no doubt, but he's not to be compared with Salah.
Mane is one of those very rare player every manager/coach would like to have in his team ! Great player to be with on the same side than to be on the opposite side facing him, especially as defenders and as goalkeeper 👏 👏 👏

Not counting his countless running off the ball and build up play. Liverpool will miss him but won't suffer. We once had Eto'o and Drogba now it's Mane raising the African flag high , bon voyage brother Sadio on your Bundesliga journey
Mane is a fantastic player all around, amazed that LFC (I do not support them) wanted to let him go, but what a steal for BM, they have a superb addition to their team. Mane is a real performer and to be honest I rate him higher than Salah as .. he just gets on with it with little fuss, what an engine he has. I really hope SM's time at BM is rewarded with p!entry of success.

What that has to do with him giving his all, plus as a one team league look how much times they made it in to the last 4 or finals of champions league and won? i think Liverpool realised they could only afford to keep one of the two without totally disregarding their wage structure. they went with the player who had the better goal stats. time will tell if it was the correct decision. imo , even though Salah has better stats, there was little to chose between them. its done now, so move on i guess. good luck to Sadio (not that he will need it because he is a great player)

@@jameslewis3133 Everyone wish it would be that easy, it never is. Sometimes success can also be a curse, what if all those money invested backfired ? It's not like just Liverpool had big money, look at other club like City or Newcastle, they can do whatever they want with that kind of money. Liverpool ? Earned it by winning trophies and already spent most of it on upgrade stadium and switch to a new training ground. Then it comes to individual money, if others saw what they can demand, imagine the situation. Yeah yeah we gave you guys whatever you want, and what if after that they underperformed ? Also they are aging. Wouldn't that take them back to square one again with all the money invested. IMO Liverpool is playing a safe game but very unfortunate starting the season with the injuries spells. I for one believe they are playing the long game, for sure. I already accepted we are chasing top 4 at this point, other clubs are already stepping up. Again, Liverpool have money, not mad money.

As a former Liverpool fan I think they should have celebrated Sadio Mane's win at AFCON. However, so many people that will agree with me on this seem to forget that it's difficult for Liverpool when they don't just have a winning finalist-a Senegalese.They also have a losing finalist-an Egyptian. PSG don't have that issue. Chelsea don't have that issue. None of the other clubs that had the AFCON winners in their squad have that issue but Liverpool do. So people actually need to shut up about this now because it's getting boring now. If Sadio Mane didn't want a celebration then that's exactly why.

I could never understand why Liverpool paid him so little. Players like Trent Alexander Arnold don;t even have to ask. He gets offered a big raise every couple of years, and was earning about 80% more than Mane. Liverpool claim to have a salary structure, but Mane clearly wasn't part of it, and Bayern are paying him 3x his Liverpool salary.

Mane's now Bayern's top earner getting £22mill Euros a season.....that indludes bonuses...apps fees...etc...you know the rest. Mane will be earning a little over 400k a week at Bayern.......he is earning 3x his salary when he was at Liverpool. He's on the same wage structure as Salah. Manuel Neurer was formley Bayern's top earner getting £20 mill Euros a season....including bonuses aswell.

When Klopp referred to AFCON as little tournament, in England it means the complete opposite. It was lost in translation. I say this season there is a ‘little tournament’ taking place half way through the season (the world cup), it means it is a huge tournament.

Mane has been a star player since day one at Liverpool. It puzzles me why he is often cast into the shadows of his co-star team mates. It started with Coutinho. Cortinhno's accolades were cast over the excellence of Mane. I was baffled why Mane's brilliance was seemingly eclipsed by media. Obviously, he was a better player than Cortinho, but was relegated to his shadows. Then came Salah, whom l would be quick to give him his deserved props; however, not to the detriment of Mane. Mane is as good and resourceful as Salah. Once again, Liverpool succeeded in keeping him in the shadows of his co-star teammate. Mane will flourish at Bayern. Cortinho failed outside the haven of Liverpool. Mane is the Man!!

Respect to Mane, Southampton, Liverpool and now Munich, he'll do well. The lads a winner. I would have been more than happy if stayed this season as he always produced for us. No real Liverpool fan would deny he's been one of our greatest players. It's uncomfortable knowing when push came to shove, Liverpool weren't prepared to pay him what he was worth but they could pay Salah. But after watching the charity shield today, we saw that Liverpool is more than ready for life without Mane. I wish him well and pray Liverpool get the prem and the CL this season. You were lucky to get a point against one of the relegation- favorites in Fulham.....and were also lucky to get a point against mid-table Crystal Palace. If Zaha would've been more clinical in front of goal......even though he did score a great goal........Palace would've won that game convincingly. It had to have taken a wonder goal from Liverpool to have salvaged anything from that game.......especially being at a numerical disadvantage too.

Anyone with half an ounce of sense knew Mane was the better player and had the better performances even when Salah was scoring 50 goals a season. People were no convinced because when you watched the games Mane was a complete nuisance in attack AND defense. Salah just ghosted until it was time top finish off a move

Blame Klopp for always treating him as second fiddle. African players even at 30 are still super fit compared to their european counterparts. Now we can see the results of Liverpools standings.
From an honest point, we did not much to keep him. Hardworking, modest and humble. Well, we must live with it. I grew up being a Liverpool fan watching John Barnes and the likes so just speaking the facts. Sallah has something to do with it; was not accommodating!!

It was a wrong decision for Liverpool to have sold Mane. Because Salah is a direct function of Mane; therefore without Mane, Liverpool will struggle to score goals, costing them competitive football.

Who said he was Mane replacement? I don't understand how he's Firmino's substitute either when he has been on the bench more than he has started in like the previous two seasons. They're all fighting for a place, all bought to increase competition, add more depth or cause one has left. He may not be Mane direct replacement, but can't argue that he was bought cause Mane left

It’s good for Liverpool and mane. Being staying not good for him as there is huge competition upfront mo Salah and mane and don’t like it sub …at least one of them has to go in order to make space for Diaz and Jota Bobby is behind and he is happy to sub for the better.. Liverpool is struggling with this two super stars must change them for the better I am sure by this decision both will be benefited.
