Chasing EMD Locomotives on the Maryland Midland Stone Train

Chasing the Maryland Midland stone train UBST. First we see it just after it left the Union Bridge yard crossing Y Road in Keymar, Maryland, running as light power to pick up it's loaded train. Next we see it going through the Renner Road grade crossing. Then we see it entering the S. W. Barrick & Sons stone quarry where it will pick up a train of loaded hoppers in Woodsboro. Now we see it leaving across Legore Bridge Road as a full train for it's return trip. Then we see it crossing Y Road, twice, again. Next we see the train passing the Western Maryland Railway Historical Society at North Main Street in Union Bridge, where it will pick up some additional cars from the yard. Next we see it leaving the yard and crossing Ladiesburg Road, then a field view of it traveling along New Windsor Road, then we see it going through downtown Westminster at Winters Street. Finally a last shot of it crossing Wesley Road in Finksburg. Locomotives: MMID 3451(EMD SD40M-2, Ex- SP, Ex- CITX, Ex- CEFX, built 1967), MMID 3450(EMD SD40M-2, Ex- SP, Ex- CEFX, built 1969), MMID 3449(EMD SD40M-2, Ex- SP, Ex- CEFX, built 1967), & MMID 3448(EMD SD40M-2, Ex- UP, Ex- CITX, Ex- CEFX, built 1968). 6 21 22 © BaltimoreAndOhioRR.

Hi Dave! You outdid yourself on this one. Scenic train and nature travels thru that beautiful Maryland countryside and towns unknown to me. Loved the "Redd Foxx", little praying mantis show, the young buck with the right crooked antler and the "Canadian" geese. Keep doing what you do.

The rheas in their enclosure are very pretty. The locomotive rocks quite a bit, the tracks aren't the best anymore. But three top diesel locomotives. An interesting quarry and the praying mantis on your hand is just great. Since you have a great nature deer and geese, very nicely filmed. Excellent video, thanks for showing

yeah, they're both owned by Genesee & Wyoming. they own many short lines and paint the engines the same, except for the insignia. thanks for watching & commenting!

SD40-2s??? How can that be?? Those units were built as SD45s if there were upgraded they can't SD40-2s they would have to be SD40-3s or some other designation.
