After a very cold, long, Idaho winter the cabin fever was at an all time high. Made a mad dash for Southern Utah to chase the incredible Arches of Canyonlands and Arches National Parks. We made a quick stop at Fifth Water Hot Springs and then continued over to Moab where we roamed around Landscape Arch, Delicate Arch, Corona Arch, and then topped it off with a classic sunrise on Mesa Arch.
I came across this talk and it really resonated with me. I hope you can listen to the words with an open mind. Although we are "separate" we are also connected at a deep, fundamental level. We are all energy in motion.
Jeff Lieberman, an MIT-trained artist, scientist and engineer, makes a scientific argument for mystical experience. He asks us to challenge our perception of what we are, our relationship to the universe, and our relationship to one another. Our minds are "thought-generating machines." What we would happen if we could turn off the machine? If we could transcend our individual experience of the world?
