    As with others in thw comment section, I want to thank you for actually being a good interviewer! The other folks that I have listened to interviewing Chase either wouldn't let him finish a thought or would try to direct the whole conversation to revolve around their views. I love that you are actually interested in what he has to say. So now, instead of just being a fan of Chase Hughes, I am now a fan of you too!

    Perhaps the best and most insightful interview of Chase (and I`ve probably seen 90%+ of them all...) with the lowest viewing (wtf?).... the quality of information, insights, and conversation is unreal... well done! Thanks, @Lori for facilitating, beautiful and genuine smile, you allowed Chase to fully explain the concepts and to unleash his mastery... ps. do you have grandkids??? I know this is an old feed but I had to mention, I new as a child I was hyper sensitive, I had a dis functional up bringing watching my dad abuse my mum, none of my other siblings saw what I saw. Cut a long story short I was always told I exaggerate the truth and attention seeking so I doubted my own sanity. All my life I can easily pick up on whether someone feels genuine or not within a few minutes of talking to them. I feel I learnt to analyse behaviours that lead to dishonesty subconsciously through my childhood, this was confirmed when I started to watch The behaviour panel, great stuff, also great interview 🙌❤️

    I feel validated listening to him talk about Saber-toothed tigers. From a young age I've calmed myself when overanxious by reminding myself, "You're fine. You are not being chased by a bear. You are just -insert whatever I am doing here-" As a young kid that is what I likened the heightened emotion to, being chased by a bear or a vicious dog and here I was just doing everyday things!

    As person who has PTSD, I've noticed that the part of my brain that senses that someone is not "ok", or especially someone who is "off" in the way they are behaving, it's like my brain says " Pay Attention, NOW". And it's really weird , I walk my very large dog very early, and very late at night. She is a very protective breed. Last night a man, who was not from our neighborhood, and was ( in my perception) too comfortable, suddenly appeared on the corner of my yard, and started walking slowly toward me. I felt very much like he was "Sizing me, and my dog", up. He started talking to my dog, while he continued towards us at a slow pace. Everything was weird about this guy. Immediately, my dog body blocked me, and started growling. He kept toward us, saying " Hey, Poochy, aren't you a nice dog. Can I pet him?" Looking at me then. I said " No, she's extremely protective, you need to go on your way". He put on this pouty face, grumbled, and went on down the street. What's weird is that I notice lot about people Immediately when I first see them. I guess that's ME, " Sizing up" others, lol. And the more non- threatening they are, the more I pay attention.

    That’s super interesting. I think women learn to scan the area for men but to be in your yard?! No way. I never thought about paying more attention to the calm one but it makes sense. Men should know to leave us alone in situations like that because we’ve been harassed our whole lives. That guy knew what he was doing and clearly used your dog to get physically close to you. Don’t walk your dog in the dark! ❤️🤟🏻

    Thank you for this interview. Regarding confidence: My father was a child during the Russian-Finnish Winter War and he was left alone much of the time, running through snowy fields as planes dropped bombs, starving half to death in freezing cold bomb shelters...he not only passed on his PTSD to me, he passed along his self-preservation techniques since he also never learned how to show love, guidance, or empathy. He showed me how to put on a mask of self-confidence. He was a tiny man physically, but his presence was huge. He walked around like he owned the place, no matter where he was. He walked into restaurant kitchens to talk to chefs. He acted like everyone was his equal even though I know for a fact that he was a terrified little boy inside with very little self confidence. He taught me well how to not only blend into my surrounding when I needed to stay small, but he taught me how to enter any room, any building in any country, in any language, and actually feel like we/I deserve to be there, and because of our/my never-ending curiosity, we/I am able to carry on interesting conversations with absolutely anybody. Even though my father and I are physically small, we could command attention as long as we were able to utilize this manufactured confidence. It sure gets tiring, though, always having to 'perform' in public. That's also why dad also taught me how to drink myself to sleep, which I did for over 58 years. The booze gave us most of our mostly-ersatz confidence, so for the last 4 years I've been tapping into my real self-confidence, which is an entirely different beast.

    I wonder what the difference is between confidence and not caring what other people think. They talked about confidence influencing others or being infectious. I’ve never thought of it that way. For me, how someone feels about me is irrelevant…well other than my parents. I’m aware I have an unrealistic level of confidence but it’s just how I am. I’m highly social, but love my alone time. I love talking with new people no matter who they are. But, I also can’t read body language at all. So, I have to rely on language and it causes problems because people aren’t straight forward like I am. I’ve been aware of this my whole life but don’t understand it. It’s not that I don’t care about people. I do. It’s just that I don’t care what they think about me.

    As a woman's intuition, I picked up from this video that Lori has such a huge crush on Chase -- it is so obvious. I saw receptivity from Chase also but not as overt or directed. The stars in Lori's eyes dazzled throughout and left me unable to concentrate on what Chase had to present. Had to rerun to get what he was saying.

    Joyce, this comment makes me laugh because, when I gave the video to my editor I said, "Can you please make me seem less ridiculous?" I didn't even want to put this video up because I know what you're saying is true. I was listening to him thinking, "Act normal, Lori!" which just made me more obvious. 😂 I happy I put it up anyway because it's reached a lot of people... even though a lot of them got to see me acting like a star-struck goofball. Chase I WONT LIE when I say; You are Like My Two Brothers and My One Adopted Daddy; they raised me with the Belief that ALL HUMANS ESPECIALLY, MEN were The Princes YOU Are and them. They showed me Decades of being the kind of MEN I NEVER WILL MEET IN LIFE and certainly DID NOT! I have been harmed and hurt by BOTH Men and Women and it was THE BIGGEST Struggle to keep from being MEAN and Hateful and ANGRY! I ONLY HOPED My Brothers and My Daddy WERE REAL that SOMEWAY I would FIND ANOTHER IN LIFE and KNOWING YOU ARE One of Them is SUCH HOPE for me, I could have gone a LIFETIME without knowing another SUPER NOVA like them and I found You and Mark and Greg and Scott and You FILLED me heart with HOPE and Joy THANK YOU for BEING YOU and For Caring so much and SO VASTLY!! I watched this video before i walked my dog; used it to approach people to make them feel better....but i came across an elderly couple and noticed the woman was closed-minded and wanted to escape the situation.. Their aggressive pooches where trying to attack my larger german shepperd.. I know for a fact my dog will put them in their place without really hurting them. The male owner seemed relaxed, but the woman just wanted to run from the situation.. I racked my mind on how to make her feel more comfortable in this situation but couldn't find a solution.. Any suggestions besides just letting her be (which i did)..?

    Chase doesn't see these comments and I don't have any bright ideas. Perhaps you can imagine watching this scene on a movie screen only pretend that Chase is walking your dog. Watch the way he handles the situation. Since you've been consuming a lot of his content, you might be surprised at the creative ideas your subconscious mind gives you when you do this imagination experiment (also known as self-hypnosis 😉)

    So is Hughes saying that he can hypnotize others, but he himself is a "low-hypnotizable?" LOL. In speaking about body language and facial expression, I loved the point Hughes made about our prehistoric ancestors hunting in the high grasses miles off from each other and communicating standing in the tall grass via widening.

    Am i correct in understanding that those people who are (naturally) very aware of their environment/spatial awareness are to a lesser extend hypnotisable? I'm taking baby steps in the field of human behavior and hypnosis.. Thanks in advance! ✌ (lol, Chase Hughes touches on 'baby steps later on).

  • @LoriHammond

    @LoriHammond

    Жыл бұрын

    I'm not sure how Chase would answer this but I believe that everyone is hypnotisable... some just experience hypnosis in a more profoundly obvious way than others (clucking like chickens on stage etc.) If we go back to your comment about the woman feeling anxiety about the dogs on your walk... She was in a sort of hypnotic fear trance because past experiences have conditioned her automatic response to that situation. Hypnosis is useful (even for hyper alert and aware people) when we use it to de-condition our automatic responses and choose a new response on purpose.

    Yes, he did. It surprised me too. I don’t pay attention to my surroundings but I also haven’t been able to be hypnotized. However, I’m hyper aware of what men are doing around me because of a lifelong experience of sexual harassment. I think it’s a learned behavior that men clearly don’t have. Actually, I’ve never tried a lady hypnotist. That might work!

    To me, confidence comes from having proved to your own self that you can _______. That's why I prefer "have done" lists over "to do" lists. Success is addictive. The longer the "have done" list gets the better we feel about ourselves and the more confidence we have. Also, I think women are hard-wired to be more intuitive, sensitive to nonverbal cues, because we are designed to be the child bearers and babies can't talk. Even infant females can sense who is insincere, not to be trusted.

  • @LoriHammond

    Thank you for these insights. I wholehearteldy agree with you on both points. I grew up in an environment where I never really accomplished anything that I could look at as a way to say, "I did that!" and grow in confidence. I think, sometimes, a person can benefit by kicking off the process with a little confidence first, then use the evidence of what they accomplished from that place as evidence that they can _____. (Which builds more confidence and keeps the cycle going.) If a person has been beaten down (or beaten themselves down) repeatedly, it can be nearly impossible to __________ if they don't find a boost of confidence first.
